Motherhood is a journey where the days feel long and the years are short, yet the love poured into each moment leaves an imprint that lasts a lifetime.

Today we honor our beautiful mothers — those who guide our steps, watch ahead for danger, and pour themselves into others without hesitation. From mothers by birth to grandmothers, godmothers, and every mother figure who stands in the gap, your love is the foundation upon which we stand.

We also hold space for our sisters experiencing the complexity of joy and grief on this day. For those navigating their own experience of becoming a mother, and those missing the presence of theirs — we see you, we are you, and we love you.

To every woman who has ever loved like a mother: your journey has paved the path we walk today. Anchored in the legacy you have built and evolving with the intention you have modeled, we carry you with us in every step forward. Happy Mother’s Day!

⚖️ Do you know your rights?

On Monday, May 11, we are going virtual for Know Your Rights: Immigration & Civic Education Forum — a free, virtual community conversation featuring immigration Attorney Antoinette Payne and Melissa Grossman, Chief Operating Officer of Amani Family Services.

Fort Wayne is a community of many and right now, our immigrant neighbors need us to show up informed. This forum is for ALL of us. Whether you are directly impacted or you simply want to understand the rights of the people living, working, and raising families alongside you in this city, this conversation is for you.

When we know better, we do better and together, we can be a stronger, more informed community that looks out for one another.

Get the facts. Ask your questions. Leave with real resources you can share.

Congratulations to our very own award-winning actress, producer, record label president, author, style icon, and Honorary Member, Queen Latifah, on her selection as a 2026 inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

A Grammy Award-winning artist for her hit “U.N.I.T.Y.,” Queen Latifah’s dedication to music and the arts continues to exemplify unity, empowerment, and cultural impact. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame celebrates the music that connects us all, and she stands as a true reflection of that mission.

As the original female hip-hop superstar, she used her voice to deliver powerful, feminist messages while breaking barriers for women across the entertainment industry. We are continuously proud of the impactful work and service you exemplify!

As we know, voting is the bedrock of our communities. It shapes our daily lives and determines our future. When you share your WHY, you remind others just how personal, yet how powerful, this right to vote is.

Starting today through the end of the month, we ask that you share, post, and comment your reason behind voting. This election cycle calls for us to use our voices to speak to the power of the ballot.

🔺We invite all members to join us TOMORROW - April 14, 2026, at 9:00PM ET for The National Social Action Commission's webinar with the Legal Defense Fund (LDF) for a discussion on how we can protect our democracy and the importance of voting. Check your Delta Digest from April 11th for the registration information! 🔺

As we work to Get Out The Vote, let's honor the legacy of our 22 Founders who marched in 1913 so that we can have the right to vote in 2026!
