Our team was robbed on the road. Three staff and two volunteers were delivering donated wheelchairs when they were robbed outside Addis Ababa. The bandits took our laptop, tools, and essential equipment. By God’s mercy, our team was not physically harmed, but they remain at risk when wheelchair deliveries depend on hired transportation.

We are raising $27,500 USD to replace the stolen equipment and purchase a used van so our team can travel more safely and deliver wheelchairs to people in great need. We've already made good progress toward this goal, but we need your help.

The World Health Organization estimates that as many as 17% of Ethiopians live with a disability. Your support delivers mobility to children, teens, and adults who have never had a wheelchair and have spent their lives crawling on the ground.

When a wheelchair arrives, everything changes. A child can go to school. An adult can work. A person who was treated as an outcast can experience dignity and hope.

A van means safer travel for our team. We need your help to continue delivering wheelchairs across all 12 Ethiopian regional states.

Meet Keyru, a 28-year-old man from Ethiopia. Eight years ago, Keyru became disabled, forcing him to stop school in 7th grade. For many years, he was unable to continue his education and lost hope of ever returning to school.

Now, after receiving his first wheelchair, Keyru is able to go back to school. This milestone has brought him renewed motivation and the chance to pursue the education he once thought was lost.

For Keyru, the wheelchair represents hope, independence, and the opportunity to rebuild his future through education.
