Sebastian County, you are amazing!!! The numbers below were accomplished with 15 active churches' help!

Can you imagine what we could do if we just had 10% more churches in our area coming together to help?

If you can, please take a moment to share about CarePortal with friends, we would be grateful!

When she said, “This is what I’ve been praying for,” I felt exactly what you might imagine; the unmistakable sense of God’s presence and His hands at work through His people.
My brother in Christ, Russ Tyler, had delivered a refrigerator donated by another church. While he was there, he also delivered a washer and dryer donated from one of his church members. These were perfect for a single mom opening her new home to children in need.
As we visited with her, it became clear that Russ had never mentioned he was a pastor in Barling. He was simply there to share the love of Christ; moving the washer and dryer inside, hooking them up, handling the little things many of us rely on our husbands to do. He encouraged her by connecting her with churches that could support and walk alongside her.
When I finally said, “You know, he also pastors a church just up the road,” she was genuinely surprised; not because he wasn’t kind or godly, but because he never pushed his position or agenda.
The hands of Christ don’t always carry a title, but they always carry love.

Foster families, caseworkers, and community partners, here’s an incredible opportunity for children in foster care this summer!

Mission YOUTH Camp is now accepting registrations for their week-long summer camp designed specifically for children in foster care ages 6–12 in Johnson County and surrounding areas in Arkansas. Camp provides a fun, safe, and encouraging environment where kids can build friendships, make memories, and simply enjoy being kids.

If you know a child who could benefit from this experience, or if you work with foster families and caseworkers, please help share this opportunity!

Right now, there are 369 children in foster care in Sebastian County alone. This photo from
last Friday helps us visualize just how many...369 stories. 369 children carrying trauma, loss, uncertainty, and hope for something better.

Behind every number is a child who needs safety, stability, encouragement, and people willing to show up consistently in their lives.

Foster care is not just a “system” issue. It’s a community issue. The Church, schools, neighbors, businesses, and everyday families all have a role to play. Some are called to foster. Some can mentor, provide meals, support biological families, donate, babysit, or simply pray.

Awareness matters because children matter.

This month, let’s not just recognize the need; let’s respond to it.
