Right now, there are 369 children in foster care in Sebastian County alone. This photo from
last Friday helps us visualize just how many...369 stories. 369 children carrying trauma, loss, uncertainty, and hope for something better.
Behind every number is a child who needs safety, stability, encouragement, and people willing to show up consistently in their lives.
Foster care is not just a “system” issue. It’s a community issue. The Church, schools, neighbors, businesses, and everyday families all have a role to play. Some are called to foster. Some can mentor, provide meals, support biological families, donate, babysit, or simply pray.
Awareness matters because children matter.
This month, let’s not just recognize the need; let’s respond to it.
