Bradley Myers is accused of beating a woman and refusing to let her leave the home they shared. The victim escaped while Myers was sleeping, and initially reported the crimes to the Brandon Police Department.

Boss Cowman parade was a success for CAVA! Thank you to Marla for turning our float into the cutest covered wagon. Caitlin & Brittni walked with the new banner. Carol pulled the wagon, also thank you to your neighbor for letting us borrow it. Logan & Alexis threw frisbees for the crowd!!

👀 📀 Would anyone happen to have DVDs laying around looking for a new home?! Our shelter tv had a Firestick disappear so clients are now limited to DVDs.

Any would be greatly appreciated as it’s definitely better than the silence ☺️

Today is Abused Women and Children's Awareness Day.

Every person deserves safety, respect, and the opportunity to live free from violence and abuse. Domestic violence affects individuals, children, families, and communities across South Dakota, but no one has to face it alone.

Across our state, local advocacy programs provide confidential support, information, safety planning, and connections to resources for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of abuse.

Advocates can help individuals explore their options, navigate systems, access emergency services, and find support that meets their unique needs.

CAVA’s annual garage sale will be happening on Saturday 8-12. Lots of very nice dressers, couches, recliners, end tables, and little odds and ends.
💜Majority will be Free Will Offering.
🩵Some of the big pieces will have suggested donations posted on them.

This sale aids in keeping our doors open and continuing the opportunity to assist victims escape the abuse they should’ve never had to endure.

🍋My daughter plans to have a little lemonade stand set up with the proceeds also going to CAVA.
