✨ Chloe is Safe. ✨

Yesterday, Chloe officially left Miami-Dade Animal Services and began her new journey with us at The Florida Cat & Dog Project. ❤️

After everything she's been through, our priority right now is simple: giving her what she has likely been missing for a long time - peace, patience, and rest.

Chloe is settling in beautifully. She's enjoying quiet time, decompressing, getting plenty of love, and finally doesn't have to worry about the stress of shelter life.

As we get to know her, we've learned that she does have barrier reactivity, something that is very common in dogs who have experienced the overwhelming environment of a shelter. We're currently evaluating the best training options to help her build confidence and succeed.

She is also healing from a left hock fracture. The injury appears to be healing, but she will need follow-up radiographs so we can ensure everything is progressing properly and determine whether any additional treatment is needed.

We are incredibly grateful for every person who shared Chloe's story, cheered her on, and pledged toward her rescue. Your kindness made it possible for us to say "yes" to this sweet girl.

We'll continue posting updates as Chloe settles in and begins her road to recovery. We can't wait to show everyone the wonderful dog she's becoming.
