Vertical Oyster Garden (VOG) workshop sponsored by Manatee Center, held in conjunction with "Our Lagoon - Our Legacy" program sponsored by Florida Humanities.

September 19, 2026 from 2pm to 4 pm at St Lucie (Village) School, 2501 N Old Dixie Hwy Fort Pierce.

Arrive early. All ages welcome. Speakers, displays, VOG Workshop, hands on activities.

Come learn about and help restore the ecosystem of the Indian River Lagoon.

During this hands-on volunteer workshop, you'll help by drilling oyster shells and threading them onto rope. Once completed, these gardens will be installed beneath local docks, where they'll provide habitat for marine life and improve water quality.
