Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue Non-profit 501(c)3 organization established by a group of women passionate about animal welfare. We are a 501(c)3 organization.

We care for on average 200 homeless animals daily between our facility, fosters and in-store cat habitats.

🎊 IT'S FRI-YAY! TIME FOR OUR WEEKLY ADOPTION RECAP 🥰

We had 18 wonderful, souls go home this week ranging from tiny kittens to our beautiful, sweet, shy mastiff Grace 🐾 Thank you to all who support our mission and these adopters who bring our mission full circle by giving these deserving animals loving homes 💕 Happy tails to these 18 beauties!

💛 Grace (on right) – gentle giant landed in the county shelter absolutely terrified of humans - she has come so far and we are so happy that she has found her forever family complete with a wonderful big brother!
💛 Matilda and Sanibel – 2 more Ridgelan beagles found a forever home together after putting their lab testing fate in the past
💛 Leche, Co**ha, Chico – came in as part of a group of 9 dogs from a hoarding situation - check out Leche’s big smile!
💛 Phineas, Winnie, Schatzie, Cooper, Mary & Timmy – all surrendered by their owners who could no longer care for them
💛 Whiskey & Zinnia – little ones that landed in an overcrowded rural county shelter - Zinnia joins GOFAR alumni Olaf!
💛 Acha & Charlie - both came in as owner surrenders with their respective buddies who had already found homes- now they have their very own families too
💛 And our fabulous felines – Bud and Misty 😻

😯BONDED SISTERS DUMPED BACK AT COUNTY SHELTER - NENA AND LOLA ARE SAFE✅

These sweet 8 month old babies were adopted out from a county shelter in April - they thought they had a forever home together and then were dumped back at the county shelter 2 months later. We are told they are bonded and they are really good little girls - we won't separate bonded pairs. Can't imagine how they landed back in danger, but they are safe now with us.

🐾🎉What a BIRTHDAY PAW-TY Saturday!!!🐶🥳
If you missed Hobb’s One year birthday, hosted by his pawsome mom & dad, owners of The Drooling Dog Bakery, you really missed out!!!
🙏We cannot thank them enough, as it was not only a pawsome birthday party, but they also raised more than $4100 for us!!!
📣A HUGE thank you to them and to so many more for making this such a fun and spectacular event!! From all of the vendors who attended; those who donated silent auction items; our volunteers who helped; everyone who came; people who supported and donated toward our cause and to the Bell Tower Shops…. We are so very grateful☺️

😤ANOTHER EXHAUSTED, MAGNIFICENT ANIMAL DUMPED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE💔
This gorgeous big boy was seen exhausted and fending for himself in a remote Miami area about a week ago – we don’t know how long he has been trying to survive in the heat and rain on his own. He has been trapped and is safe now with a foster-decompressing, resting, eating and drinking ok and will be headed to one of our vets soon for full evaluation.
One thing we already know for sure is he has a huge cherry eye that will require surgery to fix. Was that why he was dumped? He was imperfect? Because he seems like a perfectly wonderful animal that certainly didn’t deserve this.
His name is now Sultan - we are happy to bring this good boy into our rescue to get all of the medical and general care he needs and find a forever home that treats him like the king he is! Thank you to all involved in networking this boy and getting him safe 🙏

Meet Kassia, the sweetest girl with the biggest heart — and her adoption fee is FULLY WAIVED thanks to an anonymous donor! 💙🐶

This beautiful 4‑year‑old landed in the county shelter in rough shape, but she never stopped trying. GOFAR stepped in, got her healthy, and now she’s ready for the forever family she’s been dreaming of.

Kassia is believed to be a rottie mix (maybe shepherd or lab), but whatever she is, she’s 100% love. She’s spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and so ready to go home.

💔 NEONATE JOE – TINY KITTEN NOW A SWEET TRIPAWD ❤️‍🩹
We saw the desperate plea for help for this tiny 3 week old, 1 pound baby that landed at Miami Dade Animal Services with serious injuries. He was found in the woods trapped in bushes with his little rear leg stuck in a wire, crying loudly. The finder did bring him to a vet or initial treatment, but could not keep him. He had several open, maggot infested wounds and multiple fractures in his leg.
We put a rescue hold on him, but were informed that unfortunately his leg could not be saved and needed to be amputated. This little guy has endured so much pain in his few weeks of life, he deserves a shot at knowing love and a family, so we pulled him anyways. He is now recovering with a foster, eating and healing well so far thankfully!
Little Joe has a ways to go to recover and adjust, but will make a wonderful addition to a loving family soon! We could use some help with Joe’s medical and general care – for those who pledged for him or for those who want to donate please see below - no donation is too small!

💔 NEONATE JOE – TINY KITTEN NOW A SWEET TRIPAWD ❤️‍🩹

We saw the desperate plea for help for this tiny 3 week old, 1 pound baby that landed at Miami Dade Animal Services with serious injuries.
