Cancer support for teachers was more than just a project for Michelle, it was her heart. After she passed away in March, our commitment to ensuring no teacher fights alone became stronger than ever.

"Rucking" means putting weight on your back to carry the load for someone else. On October 24th, every step we walk, run, or ruck honors Michelle’s vision and provides direct financial support to teachers facing cancer treatments.

CALLING ALL FORT MILL K–12 ARTISTS!

Imagine seeing hundreds of runners wearing YOUR artwork on race day! The Ruck and Roll Foundation is looking for students in the Fort Mill School District (Grades K–12) to design our official 2nd Annual 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run T-shirt.

Contest Rules:

Design Requirements: Include the event date (October 24, 2026) and "Ruck and Roll Foundation's 2nd Annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run".

Colors: 3 total colors max.

Format: Digital (Canva, Photoshop) or hand-drawn on standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

Prize: Winner's design featured on the official race shirt, special guest honors on race day, plus a special prize!

Deadline: Wednesday, September 9th at 4:00 PM.

When a cancer diagnosis hits, the lights in the classroom may dim, but their drive to provide for their students never does. They keep showing up, even while carrying the crushing weight of medical bills.

At the Ruck & Roll Foundation, we believe no educator should have to choose between their health and keeping the lights on at home.
