🍦 Ice Cream Update! 🍦5th Grade Field Day was rescheduled, so 5th graders won’t have ice cream sales this Friday, May 29th.
6th graders CAN still buy ice cream on Friday! 🎉
Good news — we’re adding one more ice cream sale on Monday, June 1st during lunch for both 5th & 6th grade! 😄🍦

Before we slide into full sunshine mode, have your student stop by the Lost & Found by the gym — we’ve got water bottles, hoodies, and lunchboxes soaking up the rays like they’re already on break! 😎🌴 All unclaimed items will be DONATED on June 3rd, the last day of school.

🌴As we close out our Hawaiian Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, we’re sending you one last tropical request…🌈 Check out the Lost & Found photos! Some of these items have been “on island time” for way too long. 🌴 Have your students claim their belongings on Monday so they can finally say “aloha” to their long‑lost stuff. It’s time these sweatshirts and water bottles head back to their real ohana!

What a day! Our PTO hosted a BBQ Hawaiian‑themed lunch for our incredible teachers and staff, and it was the perfect mid‑week boost of sunshine and appreciation. 🍍💛As a reminder, tomorrow is the last day of Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. If your student wants to bring a small gift or note, there’s still time to spread a little extra gratitude. Let’s close out the week with big mahalo energy! 🌺🌈

🎉 BIG NEWS, ILIS FAMILIES! 🎉We are so excited to share the results of our ILIS PTO elections and announce the 2026–2027 ILIS PTO Board! 💙💛Please join us in congratulating and welcoming our newly elected board members! We are incredibly grateful to each of these individuals for stepping into leadership roles and for their commitment to supporting our students, staff, and school community. 🙌✨A huge thank‑you to everyone who participated in the nomination and voting process — your involvement truly strengthens our school! 💛
📝 Chair Positions Update: The board is currently reviewing all Chair position nominations and plans to announce those selections next week. We appreciate everyone who expressed interest and look forward to finalizing these important roles.

🌺🍩 Aloha ILIS Families! 🍩🌺 Teacher Appreciation Week is rolling right along, and this morning we treated our amazing teachers and staff to Sumo Doughnuts to bring a little extra sunshine to their day. Nothing says “mahalo” like sweet island vibes and a yummy surprise to start the morning. 🌴✨ Families, don’t forget — it’s a great week to send in a small gift or note of appreciation for your teachers.
