📢 Update from The Teresa McCoy House 💜

As of today, the remaining T-shirts are being sent out, and we’re also collecting the rest of the donation cans around the community. We want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported us so far — your generosity, encouragement, and belief in our mission have truly meant the world.

At this time, we’ve made the tough decision to pause our original vision, but we are not giving up. While we haven’t yet been able to secure the full funding needed to move forward with the full-scale plan, we have raised over $1,000 — and we want that money to still go toward helping survivors.

This is not the end. When we are able to continue we will still plan to host a community meal, a silent auction, and all of our other fundraising ideas to bring The Teresa McCoy House to life. These things take time, especially when it comes to grants and nonprofit funding — it’s a long road, but we’re still walking it.

We’re sending a huge THANK YOU to everyone who put change into our donation box at the Casey’s General Store location! We picked up a FULL donation can — over $125 from that can alone, every coin adds up! Your continued support is making a real difference. 💜

We also want to give a big shoutout to Allen Masonry & Contracting for your generous donation — your contribution directly supports our mission of providing a safe place for domestic violence survivors.

This community support is astounding! Thank you to Casey’s for allowing us to put up our donation box! There is still boxes up at Stage 2, and Kempkers True Value in Fort Madison as well!

Working on doing a fundraising meal and silent auction possibly May 24th or 25th. Currently looking for a place to hold it as well as any volunteers who would be willing to help setup, clean up, cook etc.
