Join your neighbors and their furry friends this Saturday, March 21, for a fun afternoon along the Riverwalk.

There will be lots of fun including a Peanut Butter Eating Contest, Doggie Fashion Show, a variety of pet-themed vendors, and martinis of course. To pre-register for events email [email protected] or visit the tent at the northeast entrance of the park.

Local shelters and rescue organizations will be on site with dogs in need of loving homes.

Crews will be upgrading stormwater infrastructure along NE 6th Street between NE 12th Avenue and NE 14th Avenue starting Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27. Work will take place weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• NE 6th Street will be open to local traffic only between NE 12th Avenue and NE 14th Avenue.
• Traffic will be detoured to NE 12th Avenue, NE 5th Street and NE 14th Avenue.
• Access to driveways and homes will be maintained.
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
• NE 6th Street will reopen to traffic during non-work hours whenever possible.

Upcoming asphalt resurfacing project in Victoria Park is scheduled along the following roads:
• NE 7th Ave. from NE 2nd St. to E. Broward Blvd.
• NE 10th Ave. from NE 3rd St. to NE 2nd St.
NE 11th Ave. from NE 2nd St. to E. Broward Blvd.
• NE 13th Ave. from NE 1st St. to E. Broward Blvd.

Construction will begin on Monday, March 2, 2026, and is expected to be completed on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Work will take place daily between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Work along NE 11th Avenue near Virginia Shuman Young Elementary School will be scheduled to reduce impacts to school operations.

One lane in each direction of each street within the project limits may be closed during work hours. Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed.

This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

The Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is inviting residents to participate in a hybrid Public Workshop to learn about and discuss plans to convert the existing at-grade crossing on the Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway into an underpass on East Sunrise Boulevard and North Flagler Drive in Fort Lauderdale.

The proposed effort will examine the feasibility of constructing five roadway–railroad underpasses with the goal of:
• Improving mobility and accessibility
• Increasing travel options and modal choice
• Creating new and active transportation connections
• Identifying opportunities for infrastructure hardening
• Preparing the region for future growth and economic development

This workshop is being offered online and in-person and provides the opportunity to review the study’s purpose, ask questions, and share your feedback on potential solutions.
