🗣️YEAH - It was definitely a family affair last week this time! We celebrated an unforgettable end to an amazing summer at our Kids Camp Parent Night Showcase! Our campers proudly shared what they learned, showcased their talents (Teeny Violini 🎻), and reflected on an unforgettable summer. It was inspiring to see parents, families, and community stakeholders engaged and celebrating alongside them.

Each summer, we are grateful for the opportunity to help our campers start the new school year with confidence by providing back-to-school backpacks and school supplies, generously donated by Children’s Services Council of Broward County, along with school uniforms made possible through the generosity of our incredible donors.

What a beautiful way to close out a wonderful summer and send our campers into a successful new school year. Thank you to every family, partner, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this summer so special. We can’t wait to see all that our campers accomplish this school year!

That’s a wrap on an unforgettable 7 weeks of CEA Kids Camp!

From meeting incredible authors, discovering the beauty of nature through STEM field trips, to learning to swim, serving our community, making lifelong friendships, and celebrating our final adventure at Xtreme Action Park, this summer was filled with moments our campers will never forget!

While we’re sad to see camp come to an end, our hearts are full knowing we spent the summer inspiring, challenging, and enriching some of our community’s brightest stars. Thank you to our families, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners for making this journey possible.

To our campers: keep reading, keep dreaming, keep learning, and keep shining. We can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish this school year!

to the perfect ending to our Meet the Author series!

We were honored to welcome Dr. Brittany S. Lee-Wright, author of The Light Between the Worlds, a beautifully imagined story celebrating love, hope, courage, and the many ways families are formed.

Inspired by the story’s message, our Super Readers embraced their inner heroes by designing superhero capes and masks, reminding us that kindness, bravery, and believing in ourselves are the greatest superpowers of all!

What a meaningful way to close out an unforgettable summer of literacy, imagination, and inspiring young readers. Thank you, Dr. Lee-Wright for helping our campers discover the hero within themselves.

There’s nothing better than watching confidence grow in the water! Our campers are making incredible progress through twice-weekly swimming and water safety lessons at the L.A. Lee YMCA Family Center.

We’re grateful for our partnership with South Florida Hunger Coalition and Water Smart Broward for making this opportunity possible. Learning to swim is more than a summer activity, it’s a life-saving skill that builds confidence, independence, and safety around water.

We’re so proud of how far our campers have come, and we can’t wait to see their continued growth!

- Our campers took on today’s STEM Challenge by creating their own 3D geometry gumdrop projects! Each team chose a geometric shape and worked together to bring it to life.

It’s always exciting to see our campers think creatively, solve problems, and encourage (word of the week) one another along the way!

- CEA Kids Camp Week 5 RECAP: We kicked off the week with who educated our campers about sickle cell disease and the importance of understanding, supporting, and showing compassion to friends, classmates, and family members living with the condition.

We then teamed up with for an unforgettable day of literacy and teamwork! Campers participated in our “Puppets & Pages” reading experience before bringing the energy to our annual Color Wars competition.

We wrapped up the week with our Meet the Author Series, featuring , who encouraged our campers through meaningful conversations about how God, self, family, church, and godly friendships help build healthy, successful lives.

What an exciting week of physical, spiritual, social and emotional health! We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing community partners who continue to invest in our campers and make every week the !

What a meaningful way to close out Health & Fitness Week at CEA Kids Camp!

A special thank you to for hosting our Meet the Author Series and sharing how God, self, family, church, and godly friendships are the 5 “players” that help build successful lives.

Our campers especially enjoyed the interactive “Real Talk” sessions, where they were encouraged to express their feelings in a safe and supportive space. Today’s conversations reminded us that understanding our emotions, building healthy relationships, and working together are all part of growing into confident, compassionate leaders.

to yesterday’s CEA Kids Camp Takeover!

From our literacy-focused Puppets & Pages activity, where our campers read to HandsOn South Florida’s amazing teen volunteers and created incredible puppets, to an action-packed Color Wars showdown, the day was filled with collaboration (our word of the week) and creativity.

Our campers had an absolute blast, and we’re so grateful for this amazing partnership and the selfless teen volunteers who made the experience so special. Another Kids Camp adventure that was truly one for the books...literally!

STEAM week was one for the books at CEA Kids Camp!

From exploring the beauty of and making music with to creating colorful 4th of July STEM enrichment fireworks and building confidence through swimming and water safety at , our campers have been learning, growing, and making unforgettable memories every single day.

If you thought June was exciting...just wait until July! We have even more hands-on adventures, special guests, field trips, and unforgettable experiences ahead.
