Meet "America's Tall Ship."

🇺🇸The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle is a 295-foot, three masted barque that has trained Coast Guard cadets since 1946. She carries over 22,000 square feet of sail, has 6 miles of rigging, and weighs 1,655 tons due to her steel hull and decks. The majestic Eagle is the largest tall ship flying the Stars and Stripes and is the only active square rigger in U.S. government services.

⛵Every Parade of Sail in an American port...the Eagle leads the way.

⚓ On July 3rd, she anchors in Sandy Hook Bay as part of the largest international peacetime gathering of tall ships in a generation. We will be watching from Fort Hancock...join us.

Visit the Taylor-Bulter House during the Middletown Block Party this Saturday to experience an immersive story with Apple Vision Pro headsets and learn about Col Tye’s journey and tough choices during the Revolutionary War. What would you have done?

This Saturday, May 30th, has alternate hours from 3-6pm for the Middletown Block Party. All other Saturdays and Sundays, hours are from 1-4 pm through July 25th.

Sandy Hook Foundation is proud to present: Colonel Tye Fighting for Freedom. This immersive experience uses Apple Vision Pro headsets to bring to life the story of Colonel Tye, an enslaved man who escaped during the Revolutionary War and joined the British forces at their base at Sandy Hook in exchange for his freedom. This experience challenges you to consider what it means to fight for freedom.

Join us for the opening weekend at Monmouth County Historical Association's Taylor-Bulter House in Middletown during Weekend at Old Monmouth.

Saturday, May 2, 10am-5pm
Sunday, May 3, 12-5pm

The exhibit will be open every weekend through July 25th from 1-4pm on a first-come, first-served basis. It will be closed July 4-5.
