A huge thank you to our friends at Northfield Bank for hosting a food drive for the Fort Wadsworth Food Pantry! 🇺🇸

Columbia Bank showed up in a big way, collecting bags of pantry staples that will go directly to military families on Staten Island. Gestures like this make a real difference for families stretching their budgets during service.

Nothing like taking a morning just for yourself. 💜

Rhythm of Happiness brought our caregivers community to Urban Zen in NYC for a restorative sound experience with Spiritune, led by Caleb Spaulding Drums. Guests settled onto their mats, let the music do the work, and left a little lighter than they arrived. Everyone also went home with a Spiritune tote and a copy of Your Brain on Art by Susan Magsamen and Ivy Ross to keep the calm going.

Thanks to our friends at Spiritune and Urban Zen for creating such a peaceful space for the caregivers who give so much to everyone else.

What a day! Thank you to everyone who came out to the soft launch of our new space on Fort Hamilton! We hope everyone enjoyed the fresh produce from our friends at Food for Helath, clothing from our friends at Out of the Closet, and an especially fun Oreo challenge! Thanks also to everyone who added to our idea wall. We're already reading through your suggestions! We look forward to bringing more to the Fort Hamilton community!

National Work and Family Month recognizes all the roles competing for space on your calendar. Military life has been known to add a few without asking.

So, Blue Star Families has one October challenge: put yourself on the calendar, in ink. Claim an hour, or a whole day, for a walk, a game, a little coffee and connect 🤭, or absolutely nothing productive.

The to-do list will survive. Make some time yours. You deserve it!
