Meet Ladybug 🐞 — your loyal, loving companion in the making!

Once she knows you, Ladybug’s soft side truly shines. She loves cuddles, happily accepts affection, and even shows off her manners with commands like “sit” and “shake.” Treats are definitely the way to her heart! While she has a playful side, she’d often rather sit beside you than chase toys—making her a wonderful companion for someone who wants a devoted buddy by their side.

This 3-year-old Boxer beauty (45 lbs) is the perfect mix of independent spirit and affectionate sweetheart. Ladybug tends to enjoy her own space and isn’t shy about setting boundaries with other dogs, so she’d do best with slow, thoughtful introductions—or as your one-and-only queen of the house. She’s happiest lounging near her people, soaking up your presence and quietly keeping you company.

Ladybug has a good amount of energy, but she settles beautifully as a house pet, especially when she has her favorite humans nearby. Ready to give Ladybug the safe, happy home she deserves? 🐾

How AWESOME!!!! 🥰The Museum of the Southwest - Midland, Texas is giving little Juliette the best life! We can't wait to see all the updates!!

🐾 As the Museum of the Southwest celebrated its 60th Anniversary, an unexpected new chapter began. Please join us in welcoming Juliette Macchiato, our newly appointed Director of Meowseum Relations. 🐾

Adopted during our 60th Anniversary Open House through our community partner, Grand Companions, Juliette was named in honor of Juliette Turner, whose family's vision and generosity helped establish the Museum of the Southwest's legacy.

It seemed only fitting that during a celebration of our history, we would also welcome a new member to our Museum family. What began as a visit to the Grand Companions adoption tent quickly turned into a Museum-wide campaign to hire a kitten. Within a short time, staff members from across campus came
together to select her name, develop a care plan, identify office space, and make a very convincing case to Museum leadership that Juliette should officially join the team.

Juliette's adoption reflects many of the values we celebrate every day: community, stewardship, education, and compassion. Her adoption through Grand Companions helps us
share the importance of responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, and giving animals a second chance. As a Museum ambassador, she will also support educational storytelling,
literacy initiatives, and community engagement efforts that connect visitors to the Museum’s mission.

While Juliette resides in staff office areas rather than public exhibit spaces, she has already made a positive impact on the Museum community. In just a short time, she united employees
from across departments around a shared purpose and reminded us that some of the best Museum stories are the ones we never planned!

As Director of Meowseum Relations, Juliette will occasionally report on Museum happenings, introduce community partners, share behind-the-scenes adventures, and offer her professional opinions on exhibits, events, and cardboard boxes.

Welcome home, Juliette. Here's to the next chapter in Museum history. ❤️ 🐾
