When we asked Bradley and Savannah, “Why are you involved with C3MH?”
Savannah:
“I’m involved with C3MH because my dad served our country for 10 years in the Coast Guard and then spent 17 years as a police officer. He also volunteered as a firefighter for multiple departments and worked as an EMT. As a little girl, I saw firsthand the sacrifices first responders make to keep their families, friends, and communities safe. The very least I can do as an adult is give some of my time to help care for the people who spend their lives caring for all of us.”
Bradley:
“My dad, John (the president of the C3MH board), is celebrating 30 years as a paramedic this year and has also spent more than 15 years as both a professional and volunteer firefighter. He currently works full-time as a paramedic on the South Coast and serves as a volunteer captain with Westport Fire. I’ve seen him come home after difficult shifts, and I know there isn’t always something I can say to make things better. That’s why Code 3 means so much to me—it provides support from people who truly understand what first responders go through and have the skills to help when it matters most.”
