Here at PEEC, we are grateful for our community of students, families, educators, and supporters who believe in the power of outdoor learning.

Every day while at PEEC, students step onto our trails and discover something new— a salamander under a log, a fresh perspective, a spark for science.

This Giving Tuesday, help us keep those moments alive.

Your donation ensures all students have access to hands-on outdoor learning.

💚 Give today and support curiosity in the wild!

Here at PEEC we are feeling so grateful to have been chosen as the charity recipient for the 15th Annual Fort Bragg Ice Bowl, presented by Fort Bragg Transmission & Auto, and supported by Harvest Market and Fort Bragg Septic.

Thank you to the Norcal Winter Charity Series (NWCS) for choosing us and putting together an awesome tournament, and thank you to the 86 players who competed! We also want to thank The alley grill food truck and Taqueria Los Primos for making delicious food for players and public, and donating a portion of sales to our event!

Thank you to anyone who came out and bought food or raffle tickets on Saturday, and thank you to all our local raffle donors! This event raised over $4,000 for PEEC camperships, specifically for students in Mendocino County. These proceeds make it possible for local students to participate in our program! Thank you all for helping PEEC continue to provide quality environmental education to students in Northern California.

Happy Giving Tuesday! 💚

PEEC has been providing experiences in nature to California students since 1976 during both fall and spring seasons. Take a moment and imagine never seeing the Pacific Ocean, never standing beneath the Redwood Trees, or never exploring the magic of the intertidal. Believe it or not, some of our students, even while from California, don’t get to see the ocean or a redwood tree until they come to our program.

In the words of our Board President, Lorrie Lagasse, "Giving to PEEC is supporting the education of young people in the outdoors, it’s helping to protect our public lands, it’s helping students understand the perils of climate change, and it’s supporting an unforgettable week of camaraderie and fun at science camp."

The focus of your donations from Giving Tuesday this year will go primarily towards increasing our staff housing and providing camperships, allowing partial or full coverage for students from low-income schools to attend PEEC!

Ways to support PEEC this Giving Tuesday:
-Donate online or sign up to volunteer at https://www.peectidepools.org/donate

-Send a check to PEEC at P.O. Box 2376, Fort Bragg, CA, 95437

-Share this post and inspire others to check out PEEC! Tag us and add the hashtag

Thank you for your continued support, allowing us to give students the wonderful hands-on experience of learning on our beautiful coast!
