Happy 4th of July! After multiple storm related calls last evening, including a tree on a structure, at 05:49 Sta. 53 was dispatched to Loyalsock Road for a tree down. C53, C1-53, and SU53 respond. After encountering multiple downed trees, C53 adds Sta. 50 for additional manpower. In total 17 trees were removed. At 10:07, Station 53 was dispatched for a tree on wires on Estella Spur. C53, 1-53, 2-53 and SU53 respond and find a large tree on phone wires with a broken pole. Tree was removed by members. Immediately following SU53, E1-53 and T53 participated in the Annual Parade in Forksville today. There have been two additional calls for trees down since, SU53 went available at 20:32. Please be safe while traveling as there is a lot of debris in roadways. Thank you to all departments in the county for your commitment to the community and for being there to assist other departments.
