Michael Wayne Meagher,65, was a valentine gift from God being born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on February 14, 1961 to David and Phyllis (Ballard)Meagher. Mike left this world on April 18 to join his beloved parents in heaven.
Mike lived a carefree life, never answering to the man. Mike loved the outdoors and was more at home in the woods than anywhere else. Mike was a morel mushroom hound, if there were any to be found, he knew when and where to get them. He would often look up his cousin Marla and they roamed many a woods together. He enjoyed camping, and fishing. If you could not find Mike he was out fishing somewhere. Mike also loved fast cars and a good smoke, which he enjoyed mostly with his lifelong school buddy, Norman Ploughe. Mike spent most of his life living with his parents. He drove them all over the state as they aged to ensure they still got out to enjoy what they loved, sightseeing, and eating at mom and pop restaurants.
Mike graduated from Clinton Central high school class of 1979. He spent time in the Marine Corps. He married Sandy Wilson, they later divorced, but he gained a family of three stepdaughter’s and several step grandchildren. His grandchildren meant the world to him, Mike love taking the boys fishing and teaching them the outdoor life as he had his nephews before them.
After his parents passed, Mike took up residency in Florida, where the last few years he enjoyed the weather, beaches, and fishing.
Mike is survived by his siblings Chris (Martina), Kathy, Lori, Linda, Lisa (John), and Brian (Tawnya). He is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are his stepdaughters Regina and Amber, his grandchildren, Austin, Hannah, Elizabeth, Larry, and Colton.
Mike was proceeded in death by his parents David and Phyllis Meagher, a brother Richard Calvin Meagher, a stepdaughter Christy, and a lifelong friend Michael T Davis(Tammy).
Mike is going to be cremated and will be brought home to Indiana by his best friend's son Anthony Davis, riding on a Harley Davidson. We know Mike would love the ride. Mike will be laid to rest at two of his favorite spots, Racoon Lake and the other at the foot of his mother, who is buried at St. Paul Cemetery.

Just installed this week is a new flagpole to replace the old cast iron one that was made before the First World War. Thank you to former St. Paul Sexton, Bob McQuinn, for his generous donation of a new flagpole for the nation's Semiquincentennial. Thank you to Caldwell Monuments for providing a plaque recognizing Mr. McQuinn's service to our cemetery, community and nation.
