On Women’s Equality Day, we are reminded that equality means more than having a seat at the table—it means being equally valued, respected, protected, and being able to feel safe. Until Black women can live without fear, discrimination, violence, or being overlooked, the fight for women’s equality is not finished.

The NAACP was founded in 1909 by a diverse group of people and it is governed by the NAACP Bylaws and Constitution.

The NAACP is transitioning from the original founding Logo as pictured below here, to NAACP and then the Branch Name. This is happening throughout all Branches of the NAACP in The United States.
