🐾💚 WHAT AN IMPACTFUL WEEKEND FOR ARFF! 💚🐾
This weekend was a BIG one for Animal Rescue Friends of Floydada, and our hearts are so full! 🥹
🐾First, we welcomed our Wisconsin rescue family, Tailwaggers 911 Dog Rescue to Texas! It’s such an honor to work with a group who not only supports our mission but also works alongside us! 🐾
🐾We kicked off the weekend with our Spay & Neuter Clinic where we partnered with PETS Clinic of Lubbock & we were able to get 41 Floyd County animals altered! We are so grateful for this opportunity and look forward to saving many lives through spay and neuter! 🙌🏼🐶🐱
That means 41 animals who won’t contribute to unwanted litters, helping prevent countless puppies and kittens from ending up homeless or in shelters. This is exactly why community-based spay & neuter programs are so important! Thank you to The Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue, C.A.R.E (Lisa Mendelsberg) and Raining Dogs Rescue for donating to help sponsor the surgeries! 🐾❤️
The rest of the day, the ARFF & Twag911 teams set out on foot to hand out informative flyers. While visiting Floydada and Lockney we were able to spread the news about the resources we provide for our community!
🐾Next, we had Tailwaggers911 team join us for an event at Texas Tech University! 🖤❤️
We were able to connect with students and animal lovers, bring awareness to our mission, and—most importantly—gain new volunteers and a few new fosters! 🥰 A BIG thank you also to Twag911 for supplying our ARFF team with enough dog/puppy food & supplies to last into the winter!! 🐶🙏🏼
🐾Saturday brought our community vaccine clinic, where we were able to provide 43 vaccines, several microchips, and much-needed preventative care to local pets. We also had 12 people sign up for our spay and neuter program! We now have another 38 animals on our waitlist!🩺🐾 Shout out to the Lackey family for donating the pulled pork for our lunch fundraiser that took place during the clinic! 🥰
We are SO incredibly thankful to Tailwaggers911 for helping make this vaccine clinic a success by donating supplies and, more importantly, for being our rescue family. We truly couldn’t do what we do without them. We are so honored to have their support, friendship, and partnership in rescue. 💚
The vaccine clinic also helped us raise much-needed funds for ARFF, allowing us to pay off 2 outstanding vet bills and continue helping animals throughout Floyd County & beyond.
We were sad to see our friends leave but Twag911 flew home and took 5 lucky ARFF babies with them! ✈️
Billy, Bailey, Bentley, Lola and Mercedes are now safe and loved in their new homes in Wisconsin! 🏠 Happy Tails!! 🐶 🥰

This weekend was proof that together as rescues, we can accomplish SO much.❤️
🐾 Every animal matters. Every life counts. And together, we can make a difference.
