Since Alex was born with Down syndrome, our family became more aware of children with special needs. Around 22 years ago, our family started projects and programs that would benefit the less fortunate. ABF was created to:
-provide scholarships to less fortunate and deserving high school and college students
-conduct feeding programs to the underprivileged students and special needs students
-donat

e playground equipment to the public elementary schools
-provide support to Special Education Program (SPED) for special needs children
-conduct medical missions in poor villages
-award Alexander Begonia Foundation Caring and Compassion awards to deserving elementary and high school students- U.S. and Philippines

We would like to improve the quality of life of those in the most severe need. It is our hope that one day those we have helped will "pay it forward" and help someone else in need in the future.
