Health Benefits update: It’s a sad day when veggies and Herbs are left behind when free food is given away. Today Edible Flint gave away free food and basil was left behind. Basil is a favorable herb that can be eaten with lots of other foods like pizza, mozzarella, soups and salads. Do yourself a favor and use your Smart Phone to explore new recipes. Our first grow season contained a lot of basil and we had to educate people on what is was and how to use it. Health benefits of basil include, reducing inflammation, good for the heart and helps regulate blood sugar. https://www.webmd.com/diet/health-benefits-basil
