On May 27th, Secretary Mullins responded to questions about the hunger strikes taking place across the country with some extremely dismissive and disturbing remarks.

His remarks were made in the face of a rapidly worsening situation inside detention facilities. As of yesterday, reports estimate that nearly 1,000 people are currently in detention protesting unsafe and overcrowded conditions, medical abuse, forced labor, illness outback, retaliation against inside organizers, lack of accountability and much more.

As the 14th anniversary of DACA approaches, join FAIR as we partner with United We Dream for a night of letter writing, art, food, and community. We’ll be writing letters to our Members of Congress urging them to pass the Dream Act and stand with DACA recipients, joining communities across the country as we deliver our letters on June 15th.

We’ll have stamps, envelopes, and paper available. If you’d like to help cover postage, donations are welcome but never expected. And food is provided, thanks to our friends at United We Dream. We’ll see you there!
