Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sgt. Adam Amrozi his family and Lincoln Park Firefighters IAFF Local 1292 at this time.

Today, we join departments across Michigan in honoring the life and service of Lincoln Park Fire Department Sgt. Adam Amrozi.
In recognition of his Line of Duty Death and his 22 years of dedicated service, our flags will be flown at half-staff on Friday as we remember his commitment, courage, and sacrifice.
Please keep Sgt. Amrozi's family, the members of the Lincoln Park Fire Department, and all who knew and served alongside him in your thoughts during this difficult time.
Rest easy, Sergeant. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we cherish and the communities we're honored to serve. As you gather with family and friends, we encourage everyone to celebrate safely.

🎆 If you're enjoying fireworks, leave them to the professionals whenever possible.
🔥 Keep grills and fire pits a safe distance from homes and dry vegetation.
🚒 Have a designated adult supervise all outdoor activities and keep a water source nearby.

Our members are on duty 24/7, standing ready to answer the call so you can enjoy a safe and memorable Fourth of July.

As we get closer to the big day, we wanted to share some saftey precautions for you to take into consideration when it comes to fireworks.

We are proud to serve the Grand Blanc Community.

Fireworks are part of how we celebrate Independence Day, but they cause thousands of injuries and fires across the country every year. A few reminders to keep your family safe:

🎆Sparklers burn at temperatures above 1,200 degrees, hot enough to melt some metals. Keep them out of the hands of young children.
🎆Light fireworks one at a time, on a flat, fire-resistant surface, away from homes, dry grass, and overhanging trees.
🎆Never relight a firework that did not fully ignite. Soak it in water and dispose of it.
🎆Keep a bucket of water or a charged garden hose within reach, and always have a sober adult supervising.

If you are unsure, attend a public display instead. They are run by professionals and are the safest way to enjoy fireworks.

While we encourage everyone to stay safe and take precautions, know that if an emergency arises, we'll be there—24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
