October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🎀

At Hurley Medical Center, we know a breast cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of uncertainty. The journey can be hard...physically, emotionally and in ways you may not expect.

That’s why our Breast Cancer Navigation Program is here.

Our team helps guide patients through the unexpected, connect them with resources, answer questions and, sometimes most importantly, simply listen and offer support. Because when you have someone helping with the details, you can focus more of your energy on what matters most...your treatment, your healing and yourself.

This is what being here for our community means to us. No one should have to navigate breast cancer alone.

You can help support this incredible program by joining us for Pink Night Palooza on October 29 at Father Bush Hall in Grand Blanc. Your support helps make a difference for patients and families right here in our community.

🎃 Spirit of Children is back — and they’re helping bring a little more joy to Hurley’s youngest patients!

We’re excited to celebrate the yearly Spirit of Children campaign with Spirit Halloween! Through this incredible program, local Spirit Halloween stores raise funds to support Hurley Children’s Hospital and our Child & Family Life team.

Every donation helps provide programs, resources and special experiences that make a hospital stay a little easier for children and their families, from opportunities for play and distraction to moments that bring smiles, comfort and a sense of normalcy.

And there are TWO easy ways you can help! 🧡
🎃 Use the Spirit of Children coupon for 10% off your purchase — and 10% of your purchase will be donated to Hurley Children’s Hospital!
👻 Or, simply round up your purchase at the register to make a difference.

Visit one of the local Spirit Halloween stores listed and make a difference for Hurley’s youngest patients!

🎉🏒 A NEW SPACE FOR HURLEY’S PEDIATRIC PATIENTS!
Recently, we had the joy of celebrating the ribbon cutting of the new Flint Firebirds Multi-Purpose Room, located right on our pediatric unit at Hurley Children’s Hospital!

This incredible space was made possible thanks to funds raised during the Flint Firebirds Spaghetti on Ice event, supporting Hurley Children’s Hospital. What started as a community fundraiser has now become a special place where our pediatric patients, families and care teams can connect, learn and play.

The room will be used for education, children’s activities, staff education and those difficult conversations that sometimes need to happen with families, creating a welcoming space for both the joyful moments and the challenging ones.

We are so grateful for the incredible community partnership we share with the Flint Firebirds. Their love and support for Hurley Children’s Hospital continues to make a meaningful difference for the children and families we serve.

The Hurley Medical Center Breast Cancer Navigation Program recently received an incredible gift, and we couldn’t be more grateful!
In July, the Ladies Classic Cancer Outing at Willowbrook Golf Club in Byron brought women together for a day of friendship, fun and, most importantly, a commitment to supporting local cancer programs.
As part of their generous efforts, the Ladies Classic donated $8,000 to the Hurley Breast Cancer Navigation Program. 💕
This gift will help make a meaningful difference for patients and families navigating a breast cancer diagnosis by providing support, resources and guidance when they need it most.
To the Ladies Classic, its participants and everyone who helped make this donation possible, THANK YOU for helping us support those fighting the fight. 💗

Help us congratulate West Branch Hardware on an incredible achievement! Michigan’s own West Branch Hardware has once again taken 1st place in the Ace Hardware Annual Bucket Display Contest benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!

And this win is extra special since it marks the first back-to-back first-place finish in the contest’s history! 🙌
Because of their winning Castle display, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will receive a $7,500 donation in West Branch Hardware’s name to Hurley Children’s Hospital!

A special signed jersey auction was held during the July 11th event, and we’re excited to share the incredible result: $4,003 raised for Hurley Children’s Hospital! 🎉

Be a part of the area's most hopeful fundraiser! 💗 For the last 18 years, Hurley Medical Center and Financial Plus Credit Union have brought the community together to raise funds through the Hurley Foundation in support of the Hurley Medical Center Breast Cancer Navigation Program. The program provides compassionate guidance and support to patients throughout their breast cancer journey.
