Join the Carolyn Mawby Chorale for our annual Sounds of the Seasons concert, in this year of “Our Favorite Things” with many pieces that are long time favorites for the group as well as a few new pieces that will quickly become favorites! Sunday December 7th, 4 pm at First Presbyterian Church in Flint. 🎄🎶 This year, in addition to carols and Chorale Christmas favorites, we will invite previous members of the group to join us in singing our classic finale, Christmastide, during the concert! Join us for our annual Spring concert, this year titled “Peninsula to Peninsula” — featuring music from Michigan and Korea! We will have incredible selections by composers with Michigan connections, including Flint, like Ken Galbreath “Reflections of the Heart” and Molly Ijames “A Farewell” as well as Jihoon Park’s “Lightning Bug Mass” with lighting effects, handbells, and Korean percussion. Plus many more selections stellar selections! The program is one of our favorites and we think you’ll love it too! The concert is Saturday May 10th at 8 pm at First Presbyterian Church in Flint. Join the us for our annual Spring concert, this year titled "Songs of Faith and Inspiration." The concert will be at First Presbyterian Church in Flint, to use their fabulous organ for pieces including Britten's "Rejoice in the Lamb." Our program has a wide variety of music from hymnal favorites like "This Is My Father's World," popular inspirational numbers you love to hear "The Prayer," and even aboriginal music with overtone singing, "Past Life Melodies!" 🎶The Carolyn Mawby Chorale invites you to join us for the 21st annual Flint Festival of Choirs Sunday March 17 at the MacArthur Recital Hall (J. Dallas Dort Music Center) at 4 pm! This is an amazing event where, you can hear the Carolyn Mawby Chorale, the University of Michigan-Flint Choirs: Chorale and Chamber Singers, and, this year, Livingston County Chorale all in one event. After each choir sings solo numbers, we combine into a 125 mass choir and end the concert singing with our Festival clinician, Dr. Melissa Morgan. Tickets are available by contacting 810-687-2854. Or you can show up at the door and gamble that we'll have seats left! The event should be about 90 minutes. Hope to see you there!
