Catherine's Toybox!!

Catherine’s Toybox was started in August 2025 by Catherine’s parents. Catherine suddenly passed away in her sleep at the age of 2 years old in July of 2025. Catherine’s Toybox makes backpacks and donates them to local police stations and hospitals. The backpacks are meant to provide comfort for children during stressful and difficult times. The backpacks are filled with hygiene products, blankets, toys, books and games. Please visit their page to find out more information and other ways to help their organization

The exciting news... Catherine's mom will be doing an interview for eye on Keloland on Wednesday.

Moody County Sheriff's Office and City of Madison, SD Police Department have agreed to have their office be a drop off location for anyone wishing to help support Catherine's Toybox. You just bring your donation to their office and they will reach out to me, for pickup.

Backpacks for August, we've donated 40 backpacks to the kids at the Castle.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, because of all of you, we are able to provide these schools supplies to the teachers at Sanford Children's

During the school year, there are teachers who go around on the floors helping kids stay up to date on their learning. Here at Catherine's Toybox, we wanted to make sure kids got off on the right foot and had the supplies they need to be successful.

We hope to see you at Looney Days. These are the 2 baskets we will raffle off. A family game night basket and a relaxation basket.

During Looney Days in Colman, I will have go-bags on display showing what we put into the bags.

We are a proud supporter of Catherine's Toybox out of Flandreau, SD.

Catherine's Toybox was founded after the tragic sudden death of 2 year old Catherine Wallert. They are keeping her memory going by donating 2 backpacks a month with goodies in them, to the Sanford Castle.

They also provide "go-bags" to local law enforcement agencies to give to children who may experience frightening or stressful incidents. Today they provided 11 bags to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Madison Police Department. We would like to thank them for their mission!
