We are a group that is dedicated to helping the cats on NAU's campus. Having cats on our campus is beneficial to everyone: they have good lives and help keep rodents and other pests away. However, they are often needing clean water and food, along with spaying/neutering and medical care. We aim to provide these services by capturing, neutering and returning them to their original habitat. We aim t
o foster and adopt friendly cats out to owners in the area; many of the cats, however, are feral, or wild, and cannot be happily adopted. These cats are happiest acting upon their instincts by living outdoors at NAU. After neutering these cats, we hope to provide resources so that they can live well in the areas around campus. Please help us take care of the cats on NAU's campus. We need active members to feed, track, foster, trap, and fundraise for our group. We could use your help, even if its only for a few hours per month. All trapping requires training, which we provide, and we would love to help you learn about the cats on campus. Interested in joining the FCA? Please follow the steps or contact us direcly.
1. Go to https://nau.collegiatelink.net/organization/NAUFCA/roster
2. Email [email protected] (or this FB page) with which activities you're interested in doing. These include feeding the feral cats (happens daily, but you only commit to the days you choose in advance), trapping (occurs weekly with other members), fostering (if you live off-campus in a pet-friendly home), and fundraising. Also you can let us know if you'd rather just attend meetings and brainstorm with us about possible upcoming events/activities for now. All are welcome, and we really need members who have diverse skills and talents to help us with decorating, planning, designing, coordinating, etc.
