I want to sincerely thank Changed by Nature Outdoors—and especially the generous donors—for giving me the opportunity to pursue antelope with a bow. This was truly a humbling and unforgettable experience.

For eight days, I chased these incredible animals using spot-and-stalk tactics only. I covered miles in rugged, lava-rock-filled high-country grasslands, enduring blazing sun, intense rain, rapidly changing weather, and a 25-degree drop in temperature. There were 23 failed stalks, four opportunities with bucks inside 40 yards—all while they were on the run—and one rushed shot from outside my comfort range that I missed.

Although I didn’t tag a buck, this hunt gave me something just as meaningful: countless hours in the field, greater clarity, renewed patience, and time to appreciate the wild places and animals I was fortunate enough to experience. I watched sunsets and sunrises, storms roll across the landscape, weather change by the hour, and two intense buck fights that each lasted more than three minutes.

One of the most special parts of this experience was being able to share a few days of the hunt with my family. Having them there to experience the camp, the scenery, the early mornings, and the adventure with me created memories that will last far beyond the hunt itself. Time in the field is meaningful, but time spent sharing it with the people you love makes it even more unforgettable.

This hunt tested my grit, patience, determination, and willingness to keep pushing forward after every failure. It reminded me that success isn’t always measured by what you bring home. Sometimes it’s found in the lessons learned, the memories made, the people beside you, and the moments that stay with you long after the hunt is over.

I was also incredibly grateful for the knowledge shared about an area I had never hunted, the comfortable camp, great food, and—most importantly—the camaraderie provided by Changed by Nature Outdoors. Their support made this opportunity possible and allowed me to experience something I will never forget.

This was a challenging hunt, but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Thank you again to Changed by Nature Outdoors and every donor who made this opportunity possible. Your generosity gave me far more than a hunt—it gave me an unforgettable adventure, valuable lessons, and precious time in the outdoors with my family.
