Experience university life and learn to create professional level radio and television broadcasts!

The purpose of the Native American High School Broadcast Journalism Workshop is to encourage Native American High School students, in particular juniors and seniors, to seriously consider careers in broadcast media. Historically, Native American students have been underrepresented in the broadcast industry.

One of the best parts of the Indigenous Youth Media Workshop is all the amazing equipment that you get to use. Since this workshop takes place on Northern Arizona University's campus all of our students get access to all the high-end equipment that NAU has to offer. From professional cameras and editing software, to the full stage of NAU's broadcasting room, our students get to learn how to use the equipment that the professionals do.
