This is a Maasai man who walks to an open water pit shared with wildlife to collect drinking water. He lives in a mud hut and has been waiting years for access to a clean water source. We are delivering! In October 2026 The Great Gathering is drilling well for clean water! Thank you for supporting our organization.

When we visited Kibera, Kenya, one of the largest urban slums in all of Africa, we met this beautiful woman who had started a small business to create an income for her and her family. When COVID hit, we remembered and sent a basket of supplies to give her hope and maybe make a difference, even for only a day.

The only way to reach the Kogi and Wiwa communities in Colombia's Sierra Nevada mountains means sometimes on the back of a mule. Some of the most important conversations in this work happen in remote areas that are still being protected by indigenous people.

The San Bushmen community of Grasshoek, Namibia gathered around us — women, men, and children drinking from whatever containers they had. The ingenuity of communities with so little to work with is something you don't forget. It is also heartbreaking that this empty can was shown to us as their cooking pot and it was such a prized possession. As a human family, we need to remember we are all one family.

Pumping up soccer balls before delivering them to a rural community in upcountry Kenya — making sure they're just right. Because when you're delivering something to a community that has very little, the details matter.

From a viewpoint high in the Colombian mountains, the city below looks like another world. Because it is. Reaching the Kogi and Wiwa communities requires leaving that world behind. Our journeys to indigenous communities assists us in learning how we can support them to continue their way of life in protecting nature.

One cell phone provided to a community leader can change an entire community. In Grasshoek, Namibia, a San Bushmen leader was grateful for the gift of a simple cell phone so he could advocate for his people.

Kibera Kenya is an incredible 'slum' that we had the honor of visiting. We met a group of artists who built an art collective and worked out of a studio they created. They are deeply focused on humanitarian work with the youth teaching how art can support them. Keeping them off the streets and away from gangs. Slum to Studio is a big story. By following us, we will be introducing you to some of these remarkable artists. The Great Gathering Nonprofit 501c3
