Goodbyes are bitter sweet, I would be lying if I said I didn’t choke up when she was loaded, she looked at me with worry thru those trailer, like what’s happening now, concerned look! I said, it’s ok, there’s a family who loves you, and they are going to take such wonderful care of you. 💕 seeing them have to leave again once they hv settled is pretty hard, prob the hardest part of being a rescue. Each one is so special, and you love them all, young or old, injured or not. They are all so deserving of being helped, loved and given another chance.

It’s official, our bombproof pony is adopted, she never even made it offially online for adoption! She is heading to Nebraska, to be a family horse. She was a horse who would hv ended up at slaught*t if we would not hv been there to pull her, some amazing horses land in the worst places when they end up at auction. The only way you can control their safety at auction is by placing a higher reserve on your horse that will supersede a KB buyers bids. This pony is a “go any where and do whatever you ask” kind of horse , she should have never been in this situation. Thank you to BH family for helping us pull these horses to safety, rehab them and to the adopters for finding their new homes. These adopters are also prior adopters and a great family, who took in Mandy the Cleburn grey mare. Tonight she will get her last bath and grooming with us, some cookies and a kiss goodbye .

Who remembers this mini ? When we helped him and his mom he was just a baby … his mom was struggling from heat exhaustion, sitting in KP having seizures and struggling with severe dehydration. She almost died. Both are alive and well. Mom was adopted out to a lady who provided her, her own mini barn with a working AC ! She will never be hot again. And Peter the baby is now full grown and living his best life, he was also adopted.
