Today, we honor the significance of June 19, 1865—the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas. Juneteenth stands as a powerful reminder of resilience, perseverance, and the enduring pursuit of liberty and justice for all.

As Masons, we are guided by the principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. On this historic day, we reflect on the sacrifices of those who came before us, celebrate the progress that has been made, and recommit ourselves to building stronger communities founded on unity, equality, and service.

May we continue to uplift one another, preserve our history, and inspire future generations to walk in the light of freedom and opportunity.

On Saturday, May 2nd, the brothers of Goodwill Lodge #313 came together in unity and fellowship to help celebrate a truly special occasion, the 100th birthday of Mrs. Verda B. Pipkin, beloved wife of our Chartered Member and Treasurer, Brother Alton Pipkin, and a devoted Sister of H.O.J ❤️

It was a wonderful time filled with joy, appreciation, and brotherly love as we honored a woman who represents grace, strength, and unwavering support to both her family and our extended Masonic family.

Moments like these remind us that our bonds go beyond the lodge, extending into the lives and celebrations of those who stand beside us.

Wishing continued blessings, happiness, and many more years of celebration to Mrs. Pipkin! 🎉
