TESTIMONY: Our team met a family and began serving them by praying, showing the love of Christ, and, with their permission and request, cleaning their dwelling area. We found out that their granddaughter had lost her mother under mysterious circumstances—either su***de or murder. This girl had also lost her brother not long after that tragic event. The grandmother mentioned that they had been involved in witchcraft for generations, and she said she sees things at night.
We felt the need to launch into full prayer, anoint them, and remove any idols or items related to the dark world, making sure they were in agreement. We later encountered an issue with the granddaughter holding on to her mother’s cut-off ponytail. She said it made her feel connected to her mom. We realized we had uncovered another potential generational cause and effect in the granddaughter. She seemed a bit stubborn about letting go of it. I encouraged everyone to consider how they would feel if they were in her shoes, facing all of this at her age. We committed to offering all the support we could and trusting God to do what only He can do.
After numerous hours of counseling, I built a solid friendship with this wonderful girl. Through prayers and encouragement, we managed to bring her to a point where she was willing to let go. We prayed over the ponytail, and I accompanied her to the cemetery to leave that chapter of her life behind.
A lot was done for that family, and it was spiritually heavy for us. We strongly believe God broke generational chains and curses in their lives. The grandmother also had to confront her past as layers were peeled back through confession—such as making deals with dead people in her sleep or being threatened in her dreams. God worked in that family, and we continue to trust Him in this matter.
Every time this girl saw me, she would come and hug me, not wanting to let go. We do these things because Jesus lives in us. It’s all for Him, and glory to God.
