Hey Family and Friends come out to Bubba's in Fayetteville on Tuesday July 28th, 10% of ALL sales from 6PM to 8PM go to us to make Freedom Schools possible for even more scholars next summer!!

A huge Freedom Schools thank you to Mrs. Aqueelah Emanuel, owner of AQ's Corner LLC, for spending the afternoon with our scholars and leading an engaging session on cybersecurity and digital safety!

Mrs. Aqueelah, alongside her amazing daughter Emani, co-authored the inspiring children's book Emani and the Cyberhero Response Team. Not only was this incredible story featured as a read-aloud by one of our Harambee Read-Aloud Guests, but each of our Level II scholars (3rd–5th grade) also received a copy to take home and continue learning about staying safe in today's digital world.

Thank you, Mrs. Aqueelah, for investing your time, knowledge, and heart into our scholars. Your passion for empowering children through literacy and digital citizenship made a lasting impact. We are so grateful to welcome you into our Freedom School family, and we look forward to all that the future holds together!

Huge thank you to Concourse107 and Kognoscenti for being our 2nd Family Night facilitators and for bringing the creative outlet of painting as a means of self expression, creativity, and healing to Freedom Schools in Fayetteville! They are a champion for community and for the arts! We can't wait to connect again! If you all haven't already also be on the look out for upcoming art exhibits in the area and support our local artists! You never know one of our scholars might become an artist one day and be featured in an art show!

If you're looking for good food, good fun and good vibes head on over to A Taste of West Africa on Fridays for Line dancing and karaoke 🎤 at 7pm! Also check out the drumming circles they host as well!

Wednesdays are great for making slime!! Scholars reviewed equivalent fractions by following a recipe and discussed states of matter. Is slime a solid, liquid, or gas? Once their slime was ready scholars spelled their names with slime and other words they have learned!
