✨ Something Powerful is Coming to Fayetteville This Summer… ✨

We are proud to announce that Cumberland County Friends of Freedom Schools (CCFFS) is bringing the nationally recognized Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools® program to our community for the very first time! 📚❤️

This summer, scholars in grades K–5 will experience a program rooted in:

🌟 Literacy enrichment
🌟 Cultural pride & identity
🌟 Leadership development
🌟 Joyful, engaging learning

Every child will receive books to build their home library, grow as a reader, and strengthen their love for learning.

But we can’t do it alone. 💫
We are calling on our village—families, educators, community leaders, and partners—to help us make this life-changing opportunity possible for our children.

CONGRATULATIONS TO Ms. Armstrong our 2026 CCFFS Freedom Schools Site Coordinator!!!! Ms. Armstrong brings 29+ years of experience in education and youth development. She has a deep passion for literacy, empowering children, community work & mentoring youth. This summer she will lead our team of Servant Leader Interns and help create a joyful, high-energy learning environment for our scholars right here in Fayetteville, NC! We are so excited to work with Ms. Armstrong and she is bursting with energy already prepping for Freedom Schools this summer!! Welcome to the team!!!
