Our military is one of the most unified voting blocs in America. They are patriotic, engaged, and deeply invested in the future of this country — which is why they chose to serve.

Their voices deserve to be heard.

Active-duty service members and their families should have the right to vote where they live, work, raise their children, and serve their communities.

Their vote matters. 🇺🇸

🗳️🇺🇸 DID YOU KNOW? The 2020 Census counted every active-duty soldier stationed at Fort Bragg as a resident of Cumberland County — regardless of their home state or tax domicile. 🤯

That means over 50,000 soldiers were included in our population count, boosting our numbers for federal funding, representation, schools, roads, and services.

🪖 But here’s the hypocrisy…

Those same service members — who live here, work here, raise families here, and are even counted here by the federal government — are being told they can’t vote here unless they change their “legal residence” for taxes.

🛑 That’s wrong.

📜 The Constitution guarantees representation where you live — not where you file your taxes.

So why does the government count our soldiers for money…
💵 but not for their vote? 🗳️

👉 It’s time to fix this.
It’s time to let our service members and their families know they can and should vote where they live.

They are counted here. They should be represented here.

It’s time for . 🗽

🚨 PRESIDENT TRUMP & Pete Hegseth — we need your leadership again.

Our active-duty service members are being told they must vote absentee, even when they live stateside on orders for years. Why? Because of outdated and misinterpreted guidance under UOCAVA and SSCRA.

🧾 These laws were meant to protect our troops — not silence them.
They’re being used to deny service members local representation unless they give up their legal residence or change their taxes. That’s unconstitutional.

📢 It’s time to review and reform the current interpretation. Our military deserves representation where they serve, not just where they pay taxes.

is calling for change.

🎆 As the fireworks fade and families head home, let’s remember what lit the first fuse of American independence: taxation without representation. Our Founders believed that freedom is impossible without the right to be represented where you live. So they started a revolution. They built a nation. 🇺🇸

🗽At Active Duty Votes, we believe that same fight continues today—for the brave men and women in uniform who are told where to live, when to deploy, but often aren’t told that they have the right to vote locally where they’re stationed.

Freedom isn’t just something we celebrate—it’s something we protect. That starts with representation. That starts with voting. That’s why we’re here.

“The power under the Constitution will always be in the people. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes and for a limited period, to representatives of their own choosing.”
— George Washington

📣 Let’s make sure every service member knows:
You serve here. You live here. You can vote here.

🚨 NORTH CAROLINA VOTER REGISTRATION UPDATE — AND A REMINDER FOR OUR MILITARY! 🗳️🇺🇸

According to a recent update, the voter registration gap between major parties in North Carolina has narrowed significantly — from over 645,000 in 2016 to fewer than 20,000 in 2025. That shift proves one thing:

👉 Every vote counts.

Yet many active duty service members and their families don’t realize they’re eligible to vote in North Carolina if they live here under permanent orders — without it changing their tax status or legal home of record.

✅ You can register in the state where you’re stationed
✅ You don’t need to change your LES to vote locally
✅ Your legal voting rights are protected under federal and state law

📌 Active Duty Votes is here to educate and empower our military community so they can vote where they live and be fully represented.

Whether you’re registering Republican, Democrat, or Unaffiliated — let your voice be heard. Your vote matters. 🗳️

On June 28, 2025, we had the honor of attending the 20th Year CSAR Reunion for Operation Red Wings at Mac's Speed Shop Speed Shop in Fayetteville, NC. This powerful event brought together the warriors, families, and patriots forever connected to one of the most heroic missions in U.S. military history.Keynote speaker Col. Kent Solheim, a combat-wounded Green Beret, shared a message of sacrifice, brotherhood, and unwavering courage. His words were a living tribute to the fallen—and a reminder of the cost of freedom. This mission, memorialized in the book and film Lone Survivor, claimed the lives of 19 American heroes. The reunion served as a solemn and sacred space to remember them, honor those who served, and reflect on the legacy they left behind.🎖️ Hosted by: Ranger Rick Murillo📍 Fayetteville, NC | 📅 June 28, 2025
