Happy Father's Day to all the first responder dads out there.
The ones who can start an IV in the dark but still can't figure out why the WiFi isn't working.
The ones who can manage a multi-car pileup but somehow lose every TV remote in the house.
The ones who tell their kids, "Don't do anything stupid," immediately before heading to work with their shift buddies.
The ones who have mastered surviving on caffeine, sarcasm, gas station food, and approximately 17 minutes of sleep.
The ones who miss birthdays, ballgames, holidays, and bedtime stories so they can answer the call when complete strangers need help.
And let's be honest... your kids think you're either a superhero or completely embarrassing. Sometimes both before breakfast.
Today, we celebrate the dads who serve their families and their communities. The dads who carry a lot more than gear. The dads who show up, even when they're exhausted.
From all of us at The PIERCE Foundation:
Happy Father's Day.
Now go enjoy your day. And for the love of all things holy, don't tell the same dad joke 14 times.
We know you're going to anyway. ๐๐๐๐๐
