SSG Danielle Marie (Huges) Crone, 25

Danielle had a heart for giving back to the community and would pass out food to homeless on the corners as soon as she started driving. She also donated to AMVETS and other organizations and volunteered as a Big Sister. She was a lifetime Girl Scout. Danielle liked hockey, travel and riding motorcycles. She loved her dogs Joni and Lilly.
During her time as a Boom Operator she flew over 130 sorties and offloaded in excess of 2 million pounds of fuel to 49 different coalition aircraft. She was hand picked to support the Presidential Lift for the Asian Economic Conference.

I am currently updating our database for our 11th year of Man22SAR and would love to add a “Tell Us About Your Loved One” section to each hero’s photo. I’ve already started this update for this year and would like to backtrack to include previous years as well. This will help us share their stories with the world in a more meaningful and heartfelt way.

CPL Xavier Zavala, 22

Xavier was a happy, curious, adventurous, and fearless, child, teenager, and young man. “X” as he was known by his family and friends, marched to the beat of his own drum. X didn’t bow to peer pressure or worry about what people thought of him. When it came to hair styles, clothing choices, costumes, or wearing “Free Hug” signs, if he liked it, that was good enough for him. X liked being different and was okay with standing out in a crowd. This made X likeable and approachable, and he made friends easily.

SSGT Dakota WD. Ralle, 25

Dakota loved being a soldier, he was a friend and protector to all he met. His smile could lighten the darkest rooms. With the pull out of Afghanistan, the would to him crashed upon him and the demons came for him.

MA3 Keagan Rashad Garrett, 24

A proud graduate of Redmond High School’s Class of 2018 in Oregon, Keagan completed his studies a year early and immediately answered the call to serve his country. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 2018 and served honorably for over four years before retiring from active duty in 2022. His time in the Navy reflected his strong sense of duty and commitment to something greater than himself.

After completing his military service, Keagan settled back in Oregon with his young family where he himself said he wanted to raise his little family and share where his love was and show them his views. There, it was where he and his wife of 5 yrs purchased their first home—a milestone that brought him great pride. Never one to rest on his accomplishments, Keagan began working for the State of Oregon while simultaneously pursuing higher education. He even had recently earned his bachelor’s degree and had his sights on working to achieve his Master’s.

Keagan was a devoted husband and father whose world revolved around his family where he was private & protective of them. He was very much known for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for those he deeply cared about and held close. He is survived by his wife and their cherished children Ayden, Adalynn, and Matthew. His Mother Philamena White of Redmond and Father Jeff Bray of Michigan who deeply mourn the loss of their beloved son. Keagan’s sister Kendra and niece Aalia of Redmond with whom he held a special place in his heart and were able to share many joyful moments with him, even so that his niece looked up to him like a father figure & made many wonderful memories together. He also leaves behind his grandmother Marjorie Prieto of Redmond with whom he brought flowers to just because and leaves behind many, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family from as far as Michigan,Ohio,California, Idaho to S Carolina & Alabama.

He is preceded in death by his baby girl Janelle Braylen, grandparents, aunts, cousins, and many loved ones who left this world too soon.

We find comfort in knowing Keagan found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing on quiet mornings, hitting the golf course when he could even though he would be the first to admit he wasn't that good at it, and especially loved spending quality time with those he loved most. His infectious smile and laugh lit up every room he entered. Known for helping others without hesitation, Keagan brought laughter through his quirky jokes or spontaneous dance moves that never failed to lift everyone's spirits. He lived a life marked by dedication, service, and deep love for his family and his lifelong buddies with whom he continued to stay in touch with well after high school, Erik Reenalda & Devon Beal.

Though gone far too soon, Keagan Rashad Garrett leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, service, and perseverance. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

SGT Jonathan Bryce Woolsey, 22

Jonathan Woolsey passed away on September 16, 2024, in Reston, Virginia, at the age of 22. He was born in Colorado on April 16, 2002, but spent much of his life in Alexandria, Virginia.

Jonathan’s adventurous and mischievous spirit shone through in everything he did. He loved exploring the woods—whether he was fishing, camping, or hunting for snakes, lizards, or any other creepy crawler he could find to torment his sister. His curiosity and sense of fun were part of what made him so special. Jonathan also had a deep passion for sports, especially baseball, where he spent countless hours on the diamond. He started baseball with Pioneer Baseball League in Alexandria and continued through high school playing for Hayfield Secondary School. He enjoyed basketball and soccer as well, and took pride in working on cars. Whether outdoors or on the field, Jonathan embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. Jonathan graduated from Hayfield with the COVID class of 2020.

From a young age, he knew he wanted to join the Army. Sergeant Woolsey was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii, where he completed specialized training including Jungle, Waterborne, and Air Assault schools, he did training deployments where he worked with service members from other counties. He was selected to join one of the reconnaissance squads at Schofield Barracks and had the honor of competing in the Army’s first annual Best Squad Competition. During this time, he earned his Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB) and traveled to Washington, D.C., where he met the Sergeant Major of the Army and members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Sergeant Woolsey was also awarded the Army Achievement Medal and the Army Commendation Medal for his dedication to service. Sergeant Woolsey’s next assignment was with the prestigious Old Guard at Fort Myer, Virginia.

Known for his infectious smile and sense of humor, Jonathan was the kind of person who could light up a room. He had a natural ability to lift the spirits of everyone around him and was always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. He never met a person or animal that wasn’t his friend. His warmth and generosity of spirit made him a cherished friend, family member, and soldier. And one that will forever be missed.
