Today 110 years ago on November 15, 1915, was the beginning of the Citizen Volunteer Fire Co of Fawn Grove.
Local Citizens felt a need for fire protection in Fawn Grove and surrounding areas.
A meeting was called to order that night on November 15, 1915 at 8 p.m. by Mr. A H. Morris with 25 townspeople in attendance. The attendees agreed and the birth of the new fire company started.

The Citizens Volunteer Fire Company of Fawn Grove was organized with the following officers:

President - Lane Smith
Vise President - James Smith
Secretary - E.E. Synder
Assistant Secretary - W.F. Gemmill
Treasurer - A.H. Morris

After a secured loan and through donations the Members ordered a American LaFrance Chemical Cart (Engine 1)

Upon receipt of the new chemical engine, the Following Line Officers were Elected:

Fire Chief - Leonard E Devilbiss
1st Assistant - Nelson Merryman
2nd Assistant - A.H. Morris

110 Years later, the fire company continues to grow and meet the needs of the Fawn Grove area. All started by a group of citizens that felt there was a need.

Thank You to all the volunteers at CVFC!
