πŸ¦…πŸ’œ Welcome to the Farwell Area Schools PTO – Please Read πŸ’›πŸ¦…

This group has been created to build a strong, collaborative Parent-Teacher Organization focused on supporting students, strengthening communication, and fostering a positive partnership between families and our schools.

While we are in the foundational stage, this group will remain closed so we can thoughtfully establish leadership, structure, and expectations before expanding membership.

Our Core Purpose:

Put students first

Strengthen communication between families and the school

Support educators and staff

Identify opportunities for improvement and work toward solutions

Create a safe, respectful, and united school community

Group Expectations:

Respect First
Disagreements may happen. Personal attacks, hostility, or divisive behavior will not be tolerated. We lead with respect.

Solutions-Oriented Mindset
Working with the school includes identifying areas for improvement and helping to create meaningful change. This group is not a space for bashing or tearing down β€” it is a space for building and strengthening.

Confidentiality and Integrity
Sensitive topics involving students or staff should not be discussed publicly within this group. We maintain professionalism and protect privacy.

Partnership Approach
We believe parents, teachers, administrators, and community members all want what is best for students. We operate from that shared belief.

Accountability and Follow-Through
If you volunteer for a role or responsibility, follow-through matters. Reliability will be foundational to this organization’s success.

Positive Representation
As members of this group, we represent our students and our community. Our tone and actions should reflect that responsibility.

This PTO will be built on unity, collaboration, and constructive action. When concerns arise, we address them respectfully and work toward improvement together.

Thank you for being here and for caring about Farwell students. Strong communities are built intentionally β€” and that is what we are doing.

πŸ¦…πŸ’œ Farwell Area Schools PTO – Board Interest Forming πŸ’›πŸ¦…

As we begin building the foundation of the Farwell Area Schools PTO, the next important step is forming a leadership board that will help guide direction, structure, and priorities for this group.

The purpose of this PTO is to strengthen communication, support our students and educators, and build a positive partnership between families and the school. To do that well, we need a small group of committed individuals who are willing to help shape the framework and ensure this organization starts strong.

We are currently seeking interest for the following board positions:

President

Vice President

Secretary

Treasurer

Teacher Representative

Board responsibilities will include:

Attending and helping lead meetings

Assisting in setting priorities and goals

Supporting communication between families and the school

Helping coordinate events, volunteer efforts, and initiatives

Maintaining a respectful, solution-focused environment

This is not about perfection or having all the answers. It is about willingness to collaborate, communicate clearly, and stay focused on what is best for our students.

If you are interested in serving on the board, please comment below indicating:

The position(s) you are interested in

Any relevant experience or strengths you bring

Your general availability

If we receive more interest than available positions, individual posts will be created for each role and the group will have an opportunity to vote using poll buttons within the group. Transparency and fairness will be part of our foundation from the beginning.

Please note: This group is currently closed while we build structure and establish leadership. Once the board is formed and processes are in place, we will open membership more broadly.

If you private message, please keep in mind I have a full time job and will respond when time allows.

Thank you to everyone who has already expressed interest in being part of something positive and constructive for Farwell students.

Let’s build this the right way β€” together.

Welcome to the Farwell Area Schools PTO πŸ¦…πŸ’œπŸ’›

This page was created to bring parents, teachers, staff, and our community together with one shared goal: putting our kids first.

The purpose of this group is simple. We want to strengthen communication, build trust, support our educators, and create a safe, positive environment where every student feels supported and able to succeed. Strong schools are built through partnership, and that means listening, collaborating, and working side by side.

This is not about criticism or division. It’s about identifying opportunities to improve and helping create meaningful, lasting change. When families and schools work together, students benefit.

If you care about Farwell students and want to be part of building something positive, you are in the right place. Whether you have time to volunteer, ideas to share, or simply want to stay informed and supportive, you are welcome here.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be gathering input, building a leadership team, and sharing opportunities to get involved. If you are interested in helping shape the future of this PTO, please comment below or send a message.

Together, we can create a stronger, safer, and more connected community for our kids.

Be sure to follow for updates as this is created. πŸ¦…πŸ’œπŸ’›
