Adolescent Sports Metrics is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing free Full Research Protocol & low cost Standard UIL Pre-Participation Sports Physicals in Dallas, TX. ASM's Mission is to research and clearly define normal reference ranges for healthy children 3 - 19 years old in order to improve diagnoses, treatments and medical outcomes for sick children at home and around the world. s Metrics (ASM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to better define what "normal" (i.e. healthy) looks like in adolescent children. ASM’s mission is to collect health and vital sign data from young athletes during UIL Pre-Participation Evaluations in order to establish “normal” data ranges within this demographic group. Baseline data ranges are not currently available for various reasons, primarily because this age group does not see healthcare providers unless ill. As a result, the health data collected during sick visits do not improve diagnoses for providers or outcomes for sick children. By providing better formative health data to healthcare providers and researchers, we believe we will enable improved information and outcomes for providers as well as young patients.
