Quick update- Fiddle is gorgeous and completed! It debuted at our bicentennial concert last Thursday.

Every day this 2025 fiddle just keeps getting more and more special! Today we shared it while our Fargo Spelemannslag performed in E Grand Forks at their Heritage Days.
We added about 8 more people to our participants list (well over 200 now!) when folks erased pencil guide lines from the rosing. ❤️

Latest update: fiddle handoff to the next person doing rosing- Juli! Last week the fiddle was shown, along with others, at the MN Strings and Orchestra Teachers conference at Concordia college.

This stage could be called “All Hands on Deck” or “Divide and Conquer.” The fingerboard has been underway for several weeks with plenty of people (mostly in Washington state) doing tedious sanding of the inlay pieces. These pieces include shell retrieved from the Red River Valley! Going to be beautiful!

Our fiddle (along with Gus Holley) is still getting over jet lag. 🥱 What an exciting and whirlwind experience in Oslo last week!
