2026 National Jamboree Duffel Bags Have Arrived

The Jamboree duffel bags have arrived, and there are a few things to note.

First, they may appear smaller than previous years, but that is not the case.

In 2023, the duffel bag was 110L. In 2017, the duffel bag was 130L. This year, the duffel is exactly the same size as in 2017 at a full 130L capacity.

What this means is you can likely pack a few more items than what is listed on the packing list, as long as the total weight of the duffel does not exceed 50 lbs.

Make sure to pack smart, stay within the weight limit, and take advantage of the full space available.

The Northern Lights Council contingent kicked off its first shakedown weekend in Fargo! Our 34 Scouts and adult leaders spent the time getting to know one another, finalizing travel plans, and learning more about Washington, DC and the Summit. They also explored activity options, elected youth leadership, designed patches, and more (including completing a service project for the Center for Scouting). We’re just 3 months away from departure!

Dates for the Jamboree--including travel--are July 17-28, 2023.
Site is the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.
Total cost is $3700--airfare, motel rooms, meals, touring, 10 days at the Jamboree.
