Sea Scouts Ship 696

Founded in 2019, Ship 696 is the ONLY chartered Sea Scout Ship in the Northern Lights Council.

We are mostly made up of Camp Wilderness alumni and we exist to serve the needs of the council.

Congratulations to one of our very own Sea Scouts from Ship 696, Joey Kotten, on being elected Section Chief for the Order of the Arrow, representing five councils across the Upper Midwest!

Our Sea Scouts participated in Taps Across America alongside Fleet Farm of Fargo, honoring fallen soldiers on Memorial Day. Our Sea Scouts made up the color guard and our ship’s bugler played taps at 3:00 alongside all other stores in the Midwest. This is our fourth annual year of assisting with the event, and we are proud to be a part of it!

We are looking forward to another amazing Frozen Anchor Merit Badge Expo this Saturday! Online registration will close on Thursday night, but Scouts are still welcome to register at the door (although some of our classes are now full). Find out more at ship696.com!

Ship 696's very own Evan Lureen had the honor of representing Sea Scouting and the Northern Lights Council yesterday at the Report to the State. Great job to Evan and his fellow Scouts!
