We’re excited to support the Finnish Embassy at the EU Open House on Saturday, May 9, and we need your help!

We’re looking for 20 to 25 volunteers from our Finnish community to ensure a successful event and proudly represent Finland in Washington, D.C. Please arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 AM; the day will end around 4:30-5:00 PM. Even if you can’t stay all day, your help is appreciated. Lunch will be provided for volunteers!

Tervetuloa Ajankohtaista ulkosuomalaisasiaa Arkadianmäeltä -tilaisuuteen!

Aika: keskiviikkona 18.3.2026 klo 17:30– 19:00 (Suomen aikaa).
Paikka: Kansalaisinfo (Pikku-parlamentti, Arkadiankatu 3, Helsinki) + Teams-etäyhteys.

Tilaisuus järjestetään yhteistyössä eduskunnan ulkosuomalaisten ystävyysryhmän kanssa, jonka puheenjohtajana toimii kansanedustaja Sari Sarkomaa ja varapuheenjohtana kansanedustaja Saku Nikkanen.

Puheenvuoroja kuullaan eri eduskuntaryhmien edustajilta sekä Suomi-Seuran puheenjohtajalta Pekka Saurilta. Lisäksi Siirtolaisuusinstituutin erikoistutkija, FT Tuire Liimatainen pitää puheenvuoron tuoreen Ulkosuomalaiskyselyn 2025 tuloksista. Kyselyllä kartoitettiin muun muassa ulkosuomalaisten tarpeita ja toiveita ulkosuomalaisille suunnattujen palvelujen sekä päätöksenteon tueksi.
