Happy Flashback Friday! Today we bring you another never-performed, standalone pas de deux from the Cinballera archives!

Back in February of 2024, Cinballera Co-Founder Rebekah Brannan choreographed this charming pas de deux with dance partner Zane Snyder. This dance is inspired by the 1939 film "First Love", a contemporary retelling of the classic Cinderella story, and is set to a song from the film's soundtrack, "Spring in My Heart" as performed by its leading lady, Deanna Durbin.

In order to sync it properly to the music, Rebekah had to speed the film up in one spot. Can you spot where? Let us know in the comments!

Happy Throwback Thursday! Enjoy the saloon scene from the ballet prologue to our August 2024 show "The Girl of the Golden West."

In Gold Rush California, Minnie (Cinballera Co-Founder Rebekah Brannan), the spunky yet sensitive young owner of "The Polka" saloon, is torn between her overly ardent admirer Sheriff Jack Rance (Evan Arredondo), and a handsome new stranger in town, Dick Johnson (Robert Steven Mack). After she breaks up a fight between the two men, Dick, who recalls having me Minnie on the road to Monterey several months earlier, invites her to join him in a dance. Despite her shyness, she agrees, as the assembled miners look on happily.
