Jasper Mountain is many things but there is nothing quite like it anywhere! Jasper Mountain provides a continuum of programs that meets the needs of emotionally disturbed children and their families. Services include an intensive residential treatment program with a therapeutic school, a short-term residential center, treatment foster care program, community based program and crisis response services. From our summer morning running program to riding scooters after school, we make movement, activity and fun part of everyday life.

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Meet Alicia!

Today, we’re highlighting Alicia, a dedicated nurse and valued member of our Jasper Mountain team who has spent nearly a decade caring for and supporting the children we serve.

🩺 What do you do at Jasper Mountain?

I am the Nurse Coordinator for the agency, with SAFE Center as my primary location. I work alongside our three psychiatrists and two other nurses. Depending on the time of day, I may be a school nurse, a pediatric nurse, or a pediatric psychiatric nurse!

📅 How long have you worked here?

9 years!

❤️ What do you enjoy most about your job?

Watching the kids change from admission to discharge.

💡 What’s one thing you’ve learned from the children we serve?

Resilience. These kids come from situations that break my heart, yet they are still able to smile, laugh, and play when they are in a situation where they can simply be kids and don’t have to worry about having their basic needs met.

After 9 years, Alicia’s perspective and dedication have made a lasting difference. We’re incredibly grateful for the compassion, care, and commitment she brings to Jasper Mountain and the children we serve. ❤️

🚂 All Aboard at Jasper Mountain!

Did you know Jasper Mountain has a Depot?

Well… sort of. 😉

Our “Depot” may not have a ticket booth or a conductor, but it does have something even more important: a place where kids can stop, regroup, and get ready for the next part of their journey.

At Jasper Mountain, every kiddo is on their own track. Some may have hit a few unexpected detours along the way. Some are waiting for the right connection. And some just need a little help getting their train back on the tracks.

Through therapy, education, relationships, and plenty of support, we help kids build the skills they need to keep moving forward — one station at a time.

There’s no express route when it comes to healing. Every journey looks a little different, and that’s okay.

We’re just here to help make sure every kid has the support they need to reach their next destination. ❤️

Today, we’re highlighting Keever, one of the awesome members of our Jasper Mountain team!

👥 What do you do at Jasper Mountain?

I’m a Treatment Team Lead! I get to work alongside our team to support the children we serve, help them reach their goals, and make sure we’re providing the care and support they need.

📅 How long have you worked here?

I’m coming up on 2 years at Jasper Mountain Center!

❤️ What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love working with kids to accept support, reach their goals, and join in on incredibly fun activities!

💡 What’s one thing you’ve learned from the children we serve?

I’ve learned that every child’s needs and background are different. I’m grateful I’ve had the opportunity to discipline myself to do what truly helps others in the moment, while also building plans for success for both the kids and the team.

We’re grateful to have Keever as part of the Jasper Mountain team! Our Treatment Team rocks!!!! Thanks for all you do to support our kids and your fellow team members! ❤️

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Meet Rene!

Today, we’re highlighting one of the dedicated members of our school team, who works directly with students at both the Jasper Campus and SAFE Center.

📚 What do you do at Jasper Mountain?

My title is Special Education Case Manager, but I love that I get to work directly with students rather than just manage their cases and do paperwork. I work in the school setting at both the Jasper Campus and SAFE Center, making sure each student’s individual learning needs are met so they can access their education and get the most out of their school experience.

📅 How long have you worked here?

I have worked here for 2 wonderful years.

❤️ What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy working in a supportive environment that promotes the wellness and mental health of all our clients and colleagues. I love that we work in a beautiful natural setting and that this setting was chosen specifically for the therapeutic benefits that the undeveloped outdoors can offer.

💡 What’s one thing you’ve learned from the children we serve?

I have learned how brave and resilient young people can be. Many of our students have experienced traumatic childhoods, yet they come to our program still willing to learn and grow, and I think that is so commendable. If they can recover from their challenging pasts, they can do anything!

We’re grateful to have such compassionate and dedicated educators on the Jasper Mountain team. Thank you for helping our students learn, grow, and recognize their own potential! ❤️

Today our SAFE Center students participated in a hands-on safety workshop with Curtis, our maintenance coordinator extraordinaire! They learned important hand-saw safety techniques—and had a great time doing it. Thank you, Curtis!
