There are so many people and businesses behind every project Moving Mountains takes on, and today we want to recognize the individuals and organizations who are true rock stars. We could not do what we do without these incredible people and businesses.

A very special thank you to the Petty Family Foundation for all of the help, support and encouragement they gave us as we were getting Moving Mountains started. They believed in us, believed in our mission and stood beside us from the beginning. We will forever be grateful for the role they have played in helping us get to where we are today.

We also have many supporters who wish to remain anonymous. You know who you are, and we want you to know how grateful we are for everything you have done. Even though we may not be able to recognize you publicly, your generosity has not gone unnoticed.

Sometimes helping someone isn’t just about fixing a house. It’s about making sure an elderly neighbor feels safe, cared for and knows that her community hasn’t forgotten her.

Today, Moving Mountains is honored to be part of another story of neighbors helping neighbors.

This elderly lady’s home in Jonesborough suffered storm damage during Hurricane Helene and then sustained even more damage from another storm. Her roof was in desperate need of replacement.

But instead of simply seeing a problem, people saw a person who needed help.

The Jonesborough Police Department and Town of Jonesborough Fire Department stepped in to help. Several local builders came together, generous donors stepped up to support the project, and Builders FirstSource helped provide the materials needed to make this project possible.

This is what community looks like.

It takes more than one person or one organization. It takes people willing to stop, listen, work together and say, “How can we help?”

A new roof means more than shingles and nails. It means protection. It means peace of mind. It means an elderly woman can feel safer in her own home.

We are so thankful for the local builders, donors, Builders FirstSource, the Jonesborough Police Department and the Town of Jonesborough Fire Department for stepping up and choosing compassion, cooperation and action.

This is why we do what we do.

We are so thankful that we were able to raise money to support the Cosby Volunteer Fire Department and our local communities throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia during this event!

The Cosby Volunteer Fire Department was there when our communities needed them most, especially during the devastating flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. They stepped up, answered the call and helped their neighbors through some of the hardest days our communities have faced. They continue to serve, respond and show up for their community in so many ways.

That is why we are so grateful to everyone who came together to give back and support those who give so much to others.

A huge thank you to Adventure Distilling Company, Kelly Williamson, Sally Clark, Mark & Digger, Squatchy OffRoad, Crystal and Lane for always showing up and making a difference for our communities, our veterans, senior citizens and children.

We truly could not do this without our incredible friends, sponsors and volunteers, but most importantly, the people who show up and give back to a great cause.

Every person who attends, donates, volunteers, sponsors or shares our mission helps make an impact. It takes a community to make a difference, and we are blessed to be surrounded by people who believe in giving back.

On August 19th, we had our Wheelin' For A Cause event. We appreciate everything that Moving Mountains & Adventure Distilling Co. done to help make the event a success! Last week we received our check for the funds made from the event! We just want to say another BIG thank you to everyone who came out & supported us! We appreciate it so much from the bottom of our hearts!

Another Moving Mountains project completed, and this one was especially close to our hearts.

Last week, we were able to provide and install a much-needed HVAC system for an elderly woman who had been without a way to properly heat and cool her condo and couldn’t even sleep in her own bedroom.

Her windows are small and narrow, so she couldn’t even use a window unit to help keep one room comfortable. Something many of us take for granted was simply not an option for her.

But now, she can finally sleep in her own bedroom again. And when winter comes, she will have heat to keep her warm.

The most beautiful part of this project was seeing the heartfelt tears of joy in her eyes. Knowing that something as simple as having heat and air in her home could bring her that much comfort and peace is exactly why we do what we do.

This is what YOU do and 100% of your donations make possible. We don’t take a salary, we use 100% of donations to help people, the ones that need it the most.

Every dollar donated to Moving Mountains gives us the opportunity to step in when someone needs a hand up. It allows us to help with the needs that might otherwise go unmet and remind someone that they are not alone.

To everyone who has donated, shared our mission, volunteered, provided materials, labor or simply prayed for the work we are doing, THANK YOU.

We are helping an elderly lady put in a HVAC unit. The company is working with us on the price. The total cost comes to $3200. If you would like to donate to help get this lady heat before winter, please let us know! You can donate directly to our zeffy account.

It was a great day in the Smoky Mountains! We may have had a few hiccups because of a lot of rain, thankful for some great people for helping friends! We don’t know who to tag, but you know who you are! We took more videos posted in the comments!
