Hey everone,
Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German pastor during WWII. He stood up against the N**i regime and was consequently arrested and executed. He wrote a book titled, The Cost of Discipleship. In it he talks about cheap grace and costly grace. “Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance (Turning from sin and going back to God), baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession, absolution without personal confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.” (The Cost of Discipleship p.44-45) Then he explains the differences in what he refers to as costly grace. “Costly grace is the gospel which must be sought again and again, the gift which must be asked for, the door at which a man must knock. Such grace is costly because it calls us to follow, and it is grace because it calls us to follow Jesus Christ. It is costly because it costs a man his life, and it is grace because it gives a man the only true life.” (The Cost of Discipleship p.45). Grace is defined as God’s unmerited favor, and a free gift from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What a marvelous truth!! Unmerited favor means that you don't deserve it but you are blessed with it anyway out of the goodness of the Father's love for us. That free, undeserved gift can only be extended to us because the Father sent his only son to die for our sins so we wouldn't have to. Why? Because "the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life" Romans 3:23. But without the free gift of grace Jesus offers us none of this would be available. You see Jesus had a choice. The Father didn't force him to come to earth as a human baby, to grow up in a modest home with all the responsibilities of a first born son. He learned a trade and worked it, and when the time came his ministry began, he taught about the Father and who He was and for that they killed him but that was all part of the plan. Jesus knew what he was agreeing to when the Father asked, he knew he would die in the most horrific way at the hands of his own people. And he agreed to that before he ever spoke one word to create our world and the beginning of the human race. HE KNEW!!!! And yet he created us anyway! That blows my mind and breaks my heart. The grace Jesus freely gives us cost him everything!! Bonhoeffer said it so well, “what has cost God much cannot be cheap for us.” (The Cost of Discipleship p.45) It is a fact that people do not value something that has cost them nothing. When Jesus created us he gave us free will. That means we get to decide how we are gonna live. Our choices are to live the abundant life with God for eternity or choose what the world and satan offers us that will lead to our destruction and eternal separation from our Creator and the lover of our souls. The first man chose sin and we have been making the same choice ever since. We can still choose God! We can still choose to make Jesus the Lord of our lives, to reject sin and confess to him when we blow it and make the wrong choice, and we will but 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ...every time.
Cheap grace is a lie. What does grace cost us? We must choose to give up our life of sin and make Jesus Lord of our lives, learning His ways and making them our own. Living for Him because of what He has done for us.

Hey everyone,
We are finishing our look at Spiritual Warfare. Specifically, the last few posts have been about the armor Paul talks about in Ephesians 6:13-17. We left off in the middle of verse 17 because that included the last of the armor that covers us defensively. Verse 17 says
Take the helmet of salvation (discussed in last post) and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. This is the only offensive weapon given to us according to this passage. This is the primary way to combat the enemy. The word used for sword identifies it as an 18 inch sword commonly used by Roman soldiers. So unless you have unusually long arms, this sword is for up-close, hand-to-hand combat. These swords were double-edged and needle sharp at the tip. Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Paul is telling us that there will be times when the battle brings satan so close that he is practically in your face. This is true no matter what part of you he is attacking. Paul identifies the sword as belonging to the Holy Spirit. Why are we fighting with the Holy Spirit's sword? Remember this is a spiritual battle fought in a spiritual realm against an enemy that is also spirit. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. 3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. (Definition: a deeply entrenched pattern of thought, belief, or behavior that opposes God and holds a person in bo***ge.) 5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (This is how to remove strongholds.)
So we fight as God is teaching us by aligning our will and emotions under His rule and using His armor. Our verse also tells us that the sword is the Word of God. The term used in this verse for 'word" is Rhema and it means the spoken word. This is why you need to dig into the scripture and learn what it says. Satan is fine with you repeating info from social media, and the internet, and even making decisions based on what your coworkers say or what your favorite podcast puts out because those words will have no affect on him. But if you start your decision making process or approach your problems with, "God's word says..." you are jabbing that needle sharp sword right in his chest and he will turn tail and run. He can't stand against God's spoken word and you can"t just think it because he is not God so he can't know what you arethinking. Jesus showed us that in Matthew 4 when he was tempted by satan and each time Jesus responded with "It is written..." and each time he ran. So that is your protective armor and offensive weapon. You need to know with everything you are that the armor will protect ypu and the sword in your hand is more than you will ever need. BUT if you never put it on or pick it up to use it...you are already defeated.

Hey everyone,
This is the next installment in the series on spiritual warfare. We have been looking at Ephesians 6:13-18 where Paul describes the spiritual armor we need daily, using Roman armor as a visual aide. We have covered the Belt of God's Truth which is the foundation piece that will keep the armor secure. Also the breastplate of Jesus' righteousness, which He gives us at salvation, protecting our heart and other organs. The shoes which give us solid footing even on unstable ground, keeping us upright and moving forward to spread God's peace. Today we are going to see 2 more pieces in verses 16 and the first part of 17.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 Take the helmet of salvation
A Roman soldier's shield was 2 1/2 feet by 4 feet so he could crouch behind it and be protected from flying arrows etc. The shields were made in layers with space between them so the arrows would be extinguished quickly. Your shield is made of your faith and is also used to extinguish the fiery darts of the enemy. To use your shield you must keep your faith healthy and you must choose to use it to protect yourself. When you are under attack your shield will protect you. Faith is believing in and acting on God's Truth. You must know what scripture says. What are these fiery darts? They are Satan's schemes, temptations, lies, deceptions, all of which are attacks aimed at God's people to cause us to waver in our faith and shift our trust to something or someone other than God. The shield of faith is you actively applying God's Truth to your situation as soon as you identify it. God's truth applied to it extinguishes any power it may have had to hurt you.
The Helmet of Salvation protects us from a mortal head wound. Satan loves to mess with our heads because the brain controls the body, will and emotions. Any damage he can do to our minds allows him to mess with the rest of us. In messing with our minds he can damage our ability to hear God. His goal is to keep us from doing God's work and following His will for our lives, so his aim is to keep us confused. He loves confusion and chaos. If a person's perspective is wrong then his mindset becomes skewed and everything else he does will be skewed as well. God gave us the helmet at salvation to protect us from the enemy so His Truth can't be distorted by Satan's lies. If we let him trick us into removing the helmet then satan's reality will become ours and he will have successfully distorted God's Truth.

Hey everyone,
This is the next in the series about spiritual warfare and we are talking about God's protection plan that He has given us as layed out in scripture. We are continuing in Ephesians 6 verses 13 through 17 about the armor of God
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when
the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your
ground, and after you have done everything,
stand.14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled
around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness
in place,15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness
that comes from the gospe peace.16 In addition to all.
this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can.
extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 Take
the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which
is the word of God. Ephesians 6:13-17
Paul is relaying to us specific truths that will allow us to live an abundant life while repelling satan's advances in the power of the Lord. Paul is explaining these truths to us using Roman military armor as a visual aide to help us understand the things he is telling us. In verse 11 he tells us to make use of the full armor of God. Why? Because if any piece is left off we are vulnerable and if the pieces aren't worn correctly or it's use is misunderstood, we are left vulnerable. It is only when we have the armor on completely and correctly and are fighting with the power of the Lord that we can be victorious. We covered the Belt of Truth in the last post, learning that living rooted in God's Truth is foundational and necessary for the rest of the armor.
As the pieces of armor are listed in the order they are to be put on, the next piece is the Breastplate of Righteousness.
A breastplate covers your vital organs like your heart, lungs etc. The Truth Paul is telling us is that righteousness will protect us from a frontal attack. The righteousness we put on cannot be our own because as Isaiah 64:6 tells us...' all our righteousness is like filthy rags.' Theb righteousness we must have is the righteousness Jesus bought for us on Calvary. We are a reflection of His image and we carry His righteousness.2 Corinthians 5:21 explains
21 God made him who had no sin (Jesus) to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
And 1 Corinthians 1:30 states
30 It is because of him (God) that you are in Christ Jesus,
who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our
righteousness, holiness and redemption.
So it is the righteousness that we receive from Jesus in exchange for our sin, that protects us from the enemy. We receive this at salvation and maintain it by clearing our sin account as we commit them. 1 John 1:9 explains
If you confess your sin He is faithful and just to forgive us
our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This righteousness is held in place by the belt of Truth.
Ephesians 6:15 gives us our next piece of armor. It says
Having our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from
the Gospel of Peace.
The Roman soldier wore sandals with cleats made with sharp nails designed to give firm footing. They help him keep his balance and stay standing. If he lost his footing and went down the enemy would over power him. God's shoes of peace are for offense and defense. Offensively, these shoes are for moving so we can share the gospel of peace with others unhindered by thr enemy. Defensively, they give us confidence in who we are in Christ and allows us to stand firm and strong in God's Truth. We must stand firm in God's word regardless of the circumstances. So when satan flings his lies at us, we dig our cleats into the word. For example, if if satan whispered in your ear this lie: If God loved you this wouldn't have happened to you. The correct response:
James 1:12. Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial
because, having stood the test, that person will receive the
crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love
him.
And Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of
those who love him, who have been called according to
his purpose. .
We have covered the first 3 pieces of the armor.

Job 11:13-19
“Yet if you devote your heart to him
and stretch out your hands to him,
if you put away the sin that is in your hand
and allow no evil to dwell in your tent,
then, free of fault, you will lift up your face;
you will stand firm and without fear.
You will surely forget your troublge,
recalling it only as waters gone by.
Life will be brighter than noonday,
and darkness will become like morning.
You will be secure, because there is hope;
you will look about you and take your rest in safety.
You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid,
and many will court your favor.”

We are at war!!

On August 15th I posted a rather lengthy post about spiritual warfare. It was the 1st in a series on that subject. On August 17th satan set his sights on me and I ended up with a spiral fracture (left upper arm), a break in the right wrist, a split in the tibia (left leg). 2 of those injuries required surgery. Why would satan care about what one woman following God's calling on a small platform had to say? Because satan knows that God can use one voice speaking the Truth no matter where or how to reach people exponentially according to His will. Satan doesn't want even one person to hear the truth about who he is and how he works or how, as Christ followers, we have been given insight in Scripture on how to do battle with our enemy. He would much rather we remain clueless and unaware of his schemes. He doesn't want us protecting ourselves, or our families, or our church families, etc. He'd rather slink around in secret looking for your weakest areas to launch his attack. When we talk about his attack on me, for example, natural questions arise. 1. If I was doing what God has called me to do why would God allow me to be injured? 2. Why would I continue this series knowing that the enemy will continue to try to stop me from serving God effectively? God doesn't always stop difficult or bad situations, but when He does allow them He uses them for our good and His glory. Romans 8:28 As I was laying on the ground broken and bleeding and waiting for help to come, I said, "Lord, I can't do this alone." Immediately my mind and spirit were filled with a calming sense of His presence. I relaxed as the panic faded and I began to repent of any area of my life where I had stepped away. I realized as soon as the calm descended that I had been missing His presence and since God doesn't ever step away from us, it was me. Then He showed me very clearly that what happened had been an attack and I had not seen it coming or been prepared for it. Why? Because I had stepped away from His presence because of unconfessed sin in my life that I was unaware of. That's why we need to confess our sins and receive His forgiveness every day. We need to do a soul check every day. If you aren't aware of any sin in your life, ask God to show you what you may not see and to root it out. I am going to continue now with the series. I encourage you to go back and read the post from August 15th. It was packed full of information about our enemy and how he works.

I want to do the rest of the series in reasonable parts as best I can. Spiritual warfare is inevitable in our lives, and we need to understand our enemy, as well as how spiritual warfare works to take away any fear factor. Understanding the whole picture is important.

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 We do not fight against people but against satan and his demons, and evil spirits and powers in the heavenly realms, then we must also know that we need to fight a spiritual battle in God's way and with the defensive and offensive that He has provided for us. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

Want to make sure we understand a few things before we start looking at God's armor.

1 We do not fight a desperate battle in hopes of winning a victory. I know some of you are saying things like: Why else would you fight if not to win. Or If I am fighting to protect my family then losing is not an option! God’s response is this: You are not fighting to win the battle because Jesus already defeated the enemy at His death on the cross and His resurrection. 13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 ...He has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:13-14 You see they have been disarmed and have no power over you. You are fighting a defeated foe, they know they have been defeated, so they fight to take out Jesus followers and keep them ineffective in their faith so they are less likely to lead others to find salvation in the Lord. They want to take as many souls to hell with them as they possibly can. An enemy who is mortally wounded can still be very dangerous. 1 Peter 5:8-9 tells us, 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. Don’t let the cares of this world draw your attention away from the Lord and from being alert and aware of our enemy. 2. Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Allow yourself to be strengthened by the power of the God of the Universe! This command applies to every believer at all times. Fighting these spiritual battles is mandatory. The verse is set up grammatically in the present imperative tense and the passive voice. Which means what? It is an order and a matter of obedience, but the interesting part is that it is a passive obedience, which means it is something we have to do by allowing someone else to do it for us. We are commanded to be strong in the Lord and we must obey by letting His power fill us. And the word power is the Greek word that the word dynamite comes from. This is referring to resurrection power.

Verse 11 says to put on the full armor of God which will give you what you need to stand against the schemes of the devil. Another command. This command tells us how to fulfill the first one. We are to put on the whole armor of God for the purpose of standing firm or standing our ground. What ground our we standing on? We stand under Jesus authority in the heavenly places. The verb tense in this verse refers to a specific point in time and has a sense of urgency. We don’t have time to play around with this. We are at war! It also implies that we have to do this for ourselves. God doesn’t do it for us like in the last verse. And this is not something we do once and never have to do again. It implies a lifetime of consistently putting on the armor. And we will be able to use the full armor down here to live out our victory. So what happens if we don’t? We hand over our victory to satan. He will use every trick in his book to try to destroy your faith, steal your joy and kill your desire to be a God follower. Notice it says to put on the full armor. You must be careful not to leave any pieces of the armor off. Each piece is important to the next one and when fully assembled will protect you from anything he tries, any attack he launches, and any fiery darts he shoots our way.

So, let's talk about the armor of God. Notice with me that the armor belongs to God. What does that mean? That He owns it, of course, but does He just have armor that fits us waiting for us to come get it? It is more than that. Isaiah 59:15-17

15 Truth is nowhere to be found,
and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey.

The Lord looked and was displeased
that there was no justice.
16 He saw that there was no one,
he was appalled that there was no one to intervene;
so his own arm achieved salvation for him,
and his own righteousness sustained him.
17 He put on righteousness as his breastplate,
and the helmet of salvation on his head;
he put on the garments of vengeance
and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak.

The armor is truly God's armor in the sense that He created it but also in the sense that He wore it!

Notice in verse 15, There was no truth. That leads us to the first piece in God's armor that we are to wear. The Belt of Truth. The pieces of the armor are listed in a very specific order. The order that we put them on should be as they are listed . Also, scripture gives significance to things listed in order. The Belt of Truth is listed first because it is the most important piece, without it the armor cannot function as it is meant to. This piece is the foundation that holds the rest together. Wearing the belt of truth requires you to align your heart, mind, emotions under God’s truth. Then He will empower you to fight your spiritual battles with the freedom of greater mobility and increased stability. John 4:23-24 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” A Roman soldier’s belt was a useful tool, a place where he hung other pieces of his armor to free up his hands. The belt allowed him to tuck his long tunic in when he was ready for battle. This gave his feet freedom to move unimpeded. The belt also provided stability by holding things in place in their proper order. Everything about God is truth. Hebrews 6:17-18, Numbers 23:19, 1 Samuel 15:29. When we understand God’s truth, and operate in the understanding, all other areas of our lives are stabilized. John 8:32 We hear people say, “the truth will set you free.” That is not what this verse says. It says, You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. It is the truth that you know that sets you free. God is the only One who can’t lie. He is the only One who lives and exists in a state of absolute truth. He is the source of our freedom, our stability, and our victory.

Truth cannot be defined by created individuals because we are finite beings with limited knowledge and deceitful hearts. Truth is defined by God. Truth is fundamentally God-based knowledge. It is God’s view of things. The presence of truth brings clarity and victory. The absence of truth brings confusion and defeat. God wants truth to resonate in our souls, our innermost being, because that’s our core, where our intentions come from that flow into our actions.

Our world is in a constant shifting state in their analysis of truth. What is true one day may not be the following day. But truth is objective, predetermined and fixed. It cannot change with the latest fad or find. Truth is the standard that all other things must conform to because truth is reality in its original form. God’s truth, is the foundation our reality needs to be built on because if it is not, when the world presents you with a twisted version that compromises God’s truth, you won’t recognize it for what it is. Okay 1+1=2, 1+1=2 has always =2, 1+1 will always =2. Even when we don’t feel like it should it does. It doesn’t matter if we believe it, if we hope for it, if we claim it and declare it, it doesn’t change the truth that 1+1=2. God is the originator of all things true, and we know He does not, cannot lie. So He and His Word are the point of reference that everything else must comply to. The world will tell you that you are narrow minded and how dare you say that God has the monopoly on truth! Satan doesn’t want you or anyone else to know the truth because it can set you free!

Hey everyone,
I am going to be talking about Spiritual Warfare and what it is all about over the next few posts. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. All Scripture is God -breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
All scripture (every word of it) is inspired by God and is useful (but only if you read it!! And not just read it to check your box on your reading plan for the day, but read it to understand it because you will need it.) To teach us what truth is and to show us what is wrong in our lives. (If we let Him, God will shine the light of His Word into our deepest, darkest places where our sin hides.) It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to walk in what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work!
We are at war! But who are we fighting? Let's look at who we are not fighting first. Ephesians 6:12 tells us this: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Often we can feel like we are being attacked, shunned, insulted, or ignored, or maybe even all of the above, by the people we touch and by whom we are touched in our jobs, church families, even families at home. These are the times we feel like we are at war and we are, but not with the person causing the offense, with the flesh and blood right in front of us. It feels like a personal attack and it is but your enemy is not flesh and blood. It is not the people hurling insults or stabbing you in the back. We are at war with satan and must train ourselves to act wisely and to discern who the real enemy is so our heart stays pure. So who is our enemy?
In Ephesians 6:12, Paul talks about the “spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places”. The words 'spiritual hosts' lets us know that these are not physical beings, in other words they don't have bodies like you and I, and that this is not a single entity but is an army of spiritual beings arrayed against mankind with particular focus on those of us who know and are known by God through salvation in Jesus. If you have read about the birth of Jesus you will remember Luke 2:13-14 describes 'a heavenly host (aka angels armies) appeared praising God'. We understand a host to be an unimaginable number. So as there are angel armies that serve the Lord, there are also fallen angel armies (aka hordes of demons) who serve satan. Paul tells us there are rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers. This imagery helps us to understand both the power of our spiritual enemies and the need to put on the whole armor of God(verse 11). We will talk more about this later.
Paul says that the “spiritual hosts of wickedness” live and function in the 'heavenly places'. The heavenly places Paul speaks of is not the heaven where God lives. Instead it refers to a spiritual dimension that coexists with the physical world that we live in. In this dimension, spiritual hosts of wickedness (aka demon armies) influence believers and attempt to carry out their evil plans to steal, kill and destroy. These evil spirits wage war on our thoughts, emotions, and wills. The “heavenly places” therefore are battlegrounds where believers and our spiritual enemies.
It is of ultimate importance for believers to understand both who and what we fight, as well as the schemes of these spiritual hosts of wickedness. These spirits have not broken away or changed their allegiance. They are still evil, organized and have a strategy, operating under a definite system of authority with satan as their supreme commaTheir actions are not random but are directed against God and His people. Satan hates God therefore, 9he hates those who bear God's image. Their goal is to draw us away from Christ and His righteousness, however they can't!! John 10:28-30 This is Jesus speaking, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will sn**ch them out of my hand.29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can sn**ch them out of my Father’s hand.30 I and the Father are one.” I don't know if all of Satan's minions (my word, not found in scripture) are aware that they are already defeated and there is nothing they can do to change that. But whatever they are aware of they still fight to defeat us. I wonder accmplush this these hosts use deception, temptation, manipulation, and many other tactics. The truth is that they only want corruption and destruction. As Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10, ESV). Knowing this, we should “take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm” (Ephesians 6:13, ESV).
The call to “stand against the schemes of the devil" in verse 11 gives us insight into what they do. The word schemes is defined as clever, deceitful, and systematic plans of which we know the end goal... to derail our faith.
These evil spirits are adept at crafting schemes to lead believers into spiritual or moral destruction. They do this by stirring up doubt (The serpents oldest trick: He said to Eve, 'Did God really say you would surely die?...') They also excel in causing despair (so we will give up and in doing so open the door for satan to get a stronghold. They promote false teachings to pull us away from the Truth of God, whereby causing our minds to be filled with confusion and chaos. They entice us into immorality through p**n, etc including entertainment we have chosen to call normal is filled with images and storylines that create lustful thoughts and addictions to them. They will trap us in damaging attitudes (thinking we are better than others whether on an economic plane, a materialistic plane or a spiritual plane) and when we adopt these attitudes as our own then our actions naturally follow. Each evil spirit personalizes his tactics to our weaknesses. Which is why we must remain alert and ready to call on God’s strength and protection and stand our ground.
God will not leave us hanging! Our weapon is His Word and there are verses for every circumstance. “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it” (1 Corinthians 10:13, ESV). Our glorious God “is able to keep you from stumbling” (Jude 1:24).
Spiritual warfare is an ongoing truth in our lives. But we must not be discouraged. If we put on the armor of God and persist in faith, prayer, and righteousness, we can overcome the spiritual hosts of wickedness. Not through our strength, but through God’s. “With Your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall” (2 Samuel 22:30). Think about David and Goliath. As the song says, "It only took a single stone to drop a Philistine." God fights for us. Exodus 14:14 "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."
